As a Strategic Account Director, Print, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth, profitability, and strategic partnerships across some of the largest healthcare buying groups, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), group purchasing organizations (GPOs), aggregators, and consortiums in the nation. In this highly visible sales leadership role, you will develop executive-level relationships, negotiate complex agreements, and create innovative strategies that help customers achieve their goals while delivering profitable growth for Staples. What you’ll be doing: 

  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with senior executives across GPOs, IDNs, buying groups, aggregators, and enterprise healthcare organizations. 
  • Drive national sales growth and profitability across assigned strategic healthcare accounts and consortium partnerships. 
  • Negotiate complex contracts, pricing agreements, renewals, and amendments with VP and C-level decision makers. 
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies aligned with Staples’ revenue and profit objectives. 
  • Partner with account development, account management, implementation, pricing, and project management teams to ensure successful execution of initiatives. 
  • Identify and capture new business opportunities while expanding share of wallet within existing strategic accounts. 
  • Provide guidance and training to Print Account Development, Account Executives, and Specialist Developers regarding consortium programs and growth initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver value-added Print and Marketing solutions that address customer business challenges. 
  • Monitor healthcare and print industry trends to proactively adjust sales strategies and strengthen Staples’ competitive position. 
  • Manage a portfolio generating $12M-$30M in annual revenue while contributing $4M-$8M in annual sales and profitability growth. 

What you bring to the table: 

  • Proven ability to build and maintain executive-level customer relationships that drive long-term business growth. 
  • Strong consultative, solution, and insight-selling skills with a track record of delivering measurable results. 
  • Expertise in negotiating complex contracts and business agreements. 
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively with VP and C-suite stakeholders. 
  • Deep understanding of Print & Marketing services and their applications within healthcare organizations. 
  • Strong business, operational, financial, and technology acumen. 
  • Experience developing and executing strategic growth plans across large, complex customer environments. 
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and relationship management skills. 
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and highly effective working independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Passion for collaboration and driving results through cross-functional partnerships. 

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications 

  • 8+ years of experience managing large, complex customer relationships, strategic accounts, or business development initiatives. 
  • Demonstrated success growing revenue and profitability within enterprise-level accounts. 
  • Experience negotiating complex customer agreements and pricing strategies. 
  • Strong customer relationship management and consultative selling skills. 
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and communication skills. 
  • Proven business analytics capabilities with the ability to make sound financial and data-driven decisions. 
  • Understanding of supply chain concepts and business operations. 
  • Ability to travel up to 50% as business needs require. 

What’s needed - Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience working with healthcare-focused accounts, GPOs, IDNs, aggregators, or consortium organizations. 
  • Knowledge of healthcare terminology and healthcare procurement processes. 
  • Extensive understanding of print and print-related services within the healthcare industry. 
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.

The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, geography, business considerations, and internal equity.  In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for bonuses, or other forms of variable compensation.
