Who we are

We're Redis. We built the product that runs the fast apps our world runs on. (If you checked the weather, used your credit card, or looked at your flight status online today, you’re welcome.) At Redis, you’ll work with the fastest, simplest technology in the business—whether you’re building it, telling its story, or selling it to our 10,000+ worldwide customers. We’re creating a faster world with simpler experiences. You in?

Why would you love this job?

Redis is looking for a Senior Strategic Sales Representative to drive new business and account growth across our Hedge Fund and Asset Management client base. You'll sell the core Redis platform — the real-time data layer already trusted by trading, risk, and fraud-detection systems at the world's fastest-moving firms — alongside our newest offering, Redis Iris, a context and memory engine purpose-built for AI agents operating on live enterprise data.

This is a rare moment to be selling into capital markets: firms are racing to deploy agentic AI across trading operations, research, compliance, and client servicing, and most are discovering that model quality isn't the bottleneck — data access and memory are. Redis sits at the center of that problem. You'll be walking into buy-side firms with a story that connects the infrastructure they already depend on (sub-millisecond caching, real-time session and feature stores) to the next wave of AI-driven workflows they're actively trying to build.

What you’ll do:
  • Own new sales and expansion/upsell across a portfolio of Hedge Fund and Asset Manager accounts, including competitive displacements

  • Represent the full Redis platform in capital markets sales cycles — real-time caching, streaming, session management, and search — alongside Redis Iris (Context Retriever, Agent Memory, Data Integration, LangCache) and Redis Flex for cost-efficient scale

  • Lead joint account-planning with clients and prospects: mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and milestones across 1- and 3-year horizons

  • Build and manage executive relationships across the buy-side stakeholder group — Heads of Trading, COO, CIO, CTO, CFO, and Portfolio Managers — as their primary point of contact through the full purchase cycle

  • Translate emerging use cases (agentic trading assistants, real-time risk and compliance monitoring, AI-driven client servicing) into a clear business case for technical and non-technical buyers alike

  • Run the full sales cycle independently — prospecting through close — while coordinating with Solution Architects, Professional Services, Marketing, and Customer Success

  • Use modern sales tooling (Salesforce, AI-assisted prospecting, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, dialer platforms) to drive pipeline quality, forecast accuracy, and speed-to-close

  • Navigate long, often regulated procurement cycles typical of financial institutions, including RFP/RFI response and vendor due diligence

  • Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene and deliver accurate forecasts to support monthly, quarterly, and annual quota attainment

What will you need to have?
  • 6+ years of quota-carrying enterprise sales experience with a track record of closing net-new logos

  • Direct experience selling into Hedge Funds and/or Asset Managers — ideally trading, investment, or data infrastructure technology (OMS/PMS/EMS, FIX connectivity, market data, or similar)

  • Comfort selling both established infrastructure and emerging AI/agentic use cases — you can speak credibly to a Head of Trading and a CTO evaluating an AI roadmap in the same week

  • A built-in network across the capital markets ecosystem (prime brokerage, fund administration, custody, compliance/legal) is a strong plus

  • Proven ability to run complex, multi-threaded sales processes and demo directly to technical and business stakeholders

  • Self-directed, hunter mentality — comfortable building pipeline from scratch in a fast-moving, competitive market compensation

The estimated gross base annual salary range for this role is $308,000 - $385,000 per year in New York, California, Washington, Colorado, and Rhode Island. Actual compensation may vary and is dependent on various factors, including a candidate’s work location, qualifications, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of Redis’ total compensation and competitive benefits package, which may include 401(k), unlimited time off, learning and development opportunities, and comprehensive health and wellness benefits. This role may include discretionary bonuses, stock options, commuter benefits based on location, or a commission plan. Salary history is not used in compensation package decisions. Redis utilizes market pay data to determine compensation, so posted compensation ranges are subject to change as new market data becomes available.

As a global company, we value a culture of curiosity, diversity of thought, and innovation from our employees, customers, and partners. Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
