About Red Tape Index Powered by Labrynth

The Red Tape Index (RTI) is the benchmark for regulatory complexity. A global series of indices measuring regulatory and market friction across countries and sectors, built on 12M+ data points and used from federal agencies to Fortune 500 corporations.

Red Tape Index is live in the USA, Australia with upcoming expansion to Europe and Canada. Flagship indices include the Data Center Readiness and Building & Construction Index, with Agentic AI Workforce, Rare Earths & Resources, Nuclear, and Healthcare launches upcoming. New indices and sponsorships are secured monthly, with a goal of 25 indices by the end of the year.

Regulatory friction is one of the largest invisible costs in the global economy. RTI makes it measurable, and gives governments, businesses, investors, and policymakers a shared scoreboard trusted for capital, policy, and market decisions.

RTI is powered by Labrynth, the global regulatory intelligence platform. On track to 5x ARR this year. Well funded. Operating across six geographies. Defining the category.

About the Role

Benchmarks move markets. The Red Tape Index is building that same authority for regulatory friction, and this role owns its commercial growth.

You will consult with C-suite executives, investors, trade associations, and government leaders on how regulatory intelligence informs their capital, policy, and market decisions, and convert that trust into signed partnerships across three revenue streams:

  • Index sponsorships. Flagship and category sponsorships across live and upcoming indices. New sponsorship inventory opens every month as indices launch.

  • Launch Your Own Index. Co-launched sector and country indices with corporate, association, and government partners.

  • Data partnerships. Agreements with data providers, industry bodies, and government authorities that deepen the index and open new markets.

You will sell into an expanding map: live in the USA and Australia, five indices in build across Europe, Canada next, 25 indices by year-end. You will report to the Head of Sales and work directly with the CEO, and the entire RTI team to unlock new growth and opportunity.

What You Will Do
  • Own the RTI revenue number: build the pipeline, run the cycle, close the deal

  • Sell sponsorships and index launches to C-suite executives, investors, hyperscalers, trade associations, and economic development leaders

  • Build and carry senior relationships across founder, investor, and industry networks, and turn them into long-term partnerships

  • Structure creative deals: sponsorship, co-launch, data partnership, or a blend, matched to what the buyer actually values

  • Work with our PR and distribution partners to turn every monthly index launch into a pipeline event

  • Own CRM discipline, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline velocity in HubSpot

  • Represent RTI at conferences, launch events, and in-person meetings with senior buyers

What We Are Looking For

A hunter with 7+ years selling market intelligence, indices, rankings, benchmarks, research, or strategic partnerships. Executive presence, commercial intellect, and a record of building senior relationships that produce revenue. You have sold to the C-suite and you know how to price authority and insight, not just software.

The strongest candidates come from index publishers, ratings and rankings businesses, market intelligence firms, research and advisory houses, or sponsorship-driven media and events. Think MSCI, S&P Global, Morningstar, Gartner, Economist Impact, U.S. News, or the teams that sell what they publish.

  • Relationship-led. You build trust with senior people fast and keep it for years

  • Built pipeline from nothing and turned it into revenue

  • Comfortable selling a category that is still being defined, with proof points and a playbook

  • Structured, creative dealmaker: you can shape a sponsorship, a co-launch, and a data partnership in the same week

  • Not afraid to pick up the phone, knock on a door, and shake a hand

  • Advanced experience using Claude, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Slack, Notion, ClickUp

What You Will Get
  • Work directly with the founders as RTI expands from two live markets toward a global standard

  • Every index launch carries global distribution. Your partners are named in the coverage

  • OTE designed for six-figure sellers with uncapped upside and meaningful equity at a stage where it compounds

  • Quarterly team offsites

  • High trust, low ego, high velocity. The kind of environment where the people around you make you better, not slower

How We Hire

Character. Competence. Commitment.

In that order. Every person we bring on must be net additive to the entire team. We take this seriously.

If this is the kind of opportunity you have been waiting for, we would like to hear from you.
