As a Strategic Account Manager for Staples Promotional Products, you will own and grow strategic relationships with some of our largest enterprise customers, with a dedicated focus on Olympic and Paralympic sponsors supporting the LA28 Games. In this role, you will develop account strategies that expand revenue, strengthen margin performance, and help clients bring their brands to life through promotional products, merchandise programs, experiential activations, and creative solutions. You will partner closely with internal teams across sales support, merchandising, customer service, and other lines of business to deliver exceptional customer experience and uncover new opportunities for growth across the expanding LA28 business portfolio.

 This role requires a strategic mindset, consultative selling expertise, and the ability to align Staples Promotional Products capabilities with customer objectives as they prepare for and activate around the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Manage and grow strategic relationships with enterprise clients, subsidiaries, partners, and Olympic sponsor organizations across the Staples Promotional Products portfolio.
  • Develop strategic plans designed to increase sales, improve margin, and expand penetration within assigned accounts.
  • Lead strategic business reviews and customer presentations with key stakeholders to align priorities, performance, sponsorship objectives and growth opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue incremental revenue opportunities by connecting customers with the full range of Staples Promotional Products capabilities.
  • Negotiate contract extensions and support adherence to agreed-upon contract terms and customer requirements.
  • Analyze account performance, customer goals, and market opportunities to develop a shared vision for long-term growth.
  • Provide direction on merchandise strategies, product recommendations, and brand-aligned solutions for client programs.
  • Travel to key customer locations and participate in on-site events to strengthen relationships and promote Staples Promotional Products services.
  • Own sales budgets, revenue growth, and margin attainment across assigned accounts, including opportunities generated through the LA28 business pipeline.

Qualifications:

 

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years’ experience profitably selling B2B programs to "C"- level contacts within corporate America.

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience within the promotional product industry desired, but not required

*The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, geography, business considerations, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for bonuses, or other forms of variable compensation.
