As a Strategic Finance & Analytics Lead you will support Sandoz’s senior finance and strategy leadership in driving data-driven decision-making, portfolio value creation and long-term financial performance. This role combines strong corporate finance expertise, strategic thinking and advanced analytics capabilities to deliver high-quality insights across portfolio strategy, capital allocation, M&A and performance management.

To design, develop and implement automation solutions using Power Automate, Power Query, VBA, etc. to streamline business processes, improve operational efficiency and minimize manual intervention while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

 Corporate Strategy & Portfolio Decision Support

  • Support corporate and portfolio strategy initiatives across generics, biosimilars, and mature brands.

  • Analyze strategic scenarios related to portfolio optimization, market entry/exit, footprint decisions, and value-creation initiatives.

  • Translate complex business questions into structured analytical frameworks and financial assessments.

M&A, Partnerships & Capital Allocation

  • Support M&A, divestment, and partnership evaluations including valuation, scenario analysis, and business cases.

  • Assess capital allocation trade-offs and returns across strategic initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Business Development, Finance, Tax, and Legal stakeholders.

Corporate Finance & Financial Analysis

  • Build advanced financial models (DCF, scenario analysis, cash flow, working capital).

  • Analyze P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow drivers.

  • Link financial performance to operational and strategic levers.

  • Develop Financial models to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.

Data Analytics & Advanced Excel

  • Act as an advanced Excel and finance analytics expert.

  • Build scalable, transparent, and decision-ready analytical models.

  • Develop standardized templates and analytical tools across Finance and Strategy.

  • Automate recurring reporting task ending using Power query, Copilot, macros to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts.

  • Design and implement RPA workflows using Microsoft Power Automate to streamline business processes, integrate systems and reduce manual intervention

  • Develop automated flows for data extraction, approval workflows and report generation across Excel, SharePoint and outlook.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with Finance, Corporate Strategy, FP&A, Data & Tools, Commercial, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams.

  • Communicate insights clearly to senior stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and translate business requirement into analytical output.
     

What you'll bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field.

  • 5–8+ years of experience in corporate finance, strategy, M&A, or analytics roles.

  • Strong corporate finance, valuation, and Excel modeling expertise.

  • Experience in pharma, healthcare, or regulated industries preferred.

  • Technical expertise in VBA, Power Query, CoPilot, RPA, or other tools that support process automation.

Sandoz compensation is determined by job level, qualifications, niche skills, experience, and location within company salary ranges. Fully proficient and highly effective employees can expect a starting salary around market median, with those new to the level or with less functional depth at the lower end of the range and those with sustained superior or niche skills towards the higher end of the range. Internal equity and external market data inform our range placement. Annual salary reviews consider performance outcomes, market alignment, and business needs.
