The role:
Strategic Finance enables SoFi to develop and execute its growth strategy by driving financial visibility and accountability, built on strong relationships and grounded in facts.
What you’ll do:
- Drive the optimization and standardization of financial reporting and analysis across functional finance teams
- Drive Monthly / Quarterly Close process for functional leaders
- Facilitate annual and quarterly financial forecasting for SoFi's key initiatives in partnership with Functional leaders and in collaboration with various stakeholders and internal partners
- Act as day-to-day finance partner to identify and monitor key performance indicators and develop actionable insights
- Prepare quarterly internal and external materials to facilitate management discussion and analysis of key financial and business performance indicators
- Prepare recommendations on incremental investment opportunities by weighing financial and strategic trade-offs
What you’ll need:
- 3+ years of related experience, ideally in corporate finance, private equity, investment banking or consulting, or public accounting
- A deep understanding of expense management including vendor expenses and headcount planning
- Experience preparing and presenting information to key decision-makers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Docs/Sheets/Slides
- Collaborative working style and demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional relationships
- Inquisitive nature, attention to detail, diligence, and a good attitude
- Willingness to embrace unstructured environments and problems
- Time and project management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field

- Prior experience at the intersection of finance and Engineering / Product
