This is a rare opportunity to join a foundational team in a high-impact capacity, granting you access to the company's primary decision-making group. You will be responsible for overseeing models, analyses, and narratives that inform critical business decisions. Your duties will include synthesizing multiple data sources to construct a comprehensive growth narrative, guiding resource allocation, establishing key performance metrics, and shaping our strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, along with the intellectual curiosity and flexibility essential to thrive at Luma. You’ll work closing with our Chief Operating Officer along with the functional leads of every department.
- Own the company’s integrated financial model, including 3-statement projections, scenario analysis, and planning to support flexible resource allocation as business needs or markets shift
- Conduct strategic analyses for resource deployment, covering competitive positioning, headcount forecasting, and build-versus-buy decisions.
- Support partnerships and agreements through financial modeling for licensing, pricing, and infrastructure investments
- Build and validate operating models for business units, monitoring unit economics, cohort retention, and capacity utilization
- Manage data analysis and dashboards to deliver accurate, timely, and consistent reports
- Design scalable KPI tracking systems that connect product and revenue metrics to financial outcomes
- Support investor relations with reporting and market intelligence to guide financing strategies
- 7+ years of experience with a mix of investment banking, management consulting, or in-house corporate development/FP&A at a high growth technology company.
- Deep expertise in financial modeling, utilizing rigorous quantitative methods to assess operational effectiveness.
- Strong comfort level with AI and flexibility in using AI tools to enhance your productivity
- Excels at navigating large datasets to define metrics and build dashboards
- Proven experience in leading strategic transactions, fundraising, and partner and investor communications to shape business strategy
- Experience in preparing materials for Board members, executives, and investor groups
- A genuine interest in AI and its implications for industry and society
- MBA, Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or related quantitative field. CFA or CPA certifications are highly valued
- Extensive experience building complex, integrated financial models
- Experience leading projects across departments (e.g., product, sales, marketing)
- Proven ability to communicate, influence, and present to senior leadership, and stakeholders
The base pay range for this role is $140,000 – $190,000 per year.
