Strategic Operations Leader
Location: San Francisco
We are open to a variety of seniority levels, but this role will sit on the leadership team
Who We Are:
At Vizcom, we’re reimagining how physical products are designed by fusing AI with human creativity to help designers move from sketch to reality at lightning speed. We’re looking for a Product Designer who obsesses over visual craft and interaction details, but also thrives on breaking new ground. This role will shape the future of our AI-powered sketching and collaboration tools, building experiences that feel as natural as drawing and as powerful as imagining something into existence. You’ll join a small, fast-moving team that values initiative, experimentation, and an eye for beauty.
The Role:
We are searching for a highly strategic, analytically minded operator to work directly alongside our CEO and senior leadership team. This person will be a key partner in shaping business strategy, improving operational execution, and leading cross-functional initiatives that move the company forward. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building structure from scratch, and has experience scaling a high-growth startup—especially through rapid headcount expansion, evolving processes, and financial discipline.
This role may sit at a variety of seniority levels (Head of Operations or VP of Strategic Operations) depending on candidate experience. Over time, this individual may assume responsibility for portions of Finance, FP&A, Business Operations, and strategic planning.
You’ll help shape the operational backbone of a rapidly scaling company while working side-by-side with a visionary founder. This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact seat with visibility across the entire organization.
How You’ll Do It:
Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CEO, helping evaluate priorities, identify operational gaps, and drive alignment across teams
Lead cross-functional initiatives that accelerate business performance—GTM optimization, resource planning, org design, OKR development, and operational cadence
Partner closely with Finance on budget planning, forecasting, scenario modeling, and unit economics
Build and refine scalable systems, processes, and workflows across the company
Develop dashboards, performance metrics, and decision frameworks that help leadership allocate resources effectively
Own special projects that require structured problem solving, cross-functional leadership, and high-context decision-making
Support the CEO in preparing materials for board meetings, fundraising, strategic planning, and partner communications
Identify operational risks, create mitigation plans, and ensure teams stay focused on highest-impact work
What You’ll Bring:
5–10 years of experience in strategic operations, business operations, FP&A, management consulting, finance, or a similar analytical/strategic role.
Experience in a high-growth startup (Series A–C ideal), with exposure to scaling teams, implementing processes, and driving operational discipline
Strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, SaaS metrics, and business performance analysis
Comfortable partnering directly with founders and executives; able to influence without authority
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights
A builder mindset—excited to create structure, define processes, and improve systems in an environment where not everything is in place yet
High bias toward action, ownership, and follow-through
Comfort with ambiguity and context-switching; thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Bonus: experience with AI, enterprise SaaS, product-led growth, or working in design- or engineering-centric organizations
