In this role, you’ll work closely with the CEO and Sales team to identify, build, and scale partnerships with law firms and private equity firms that support startups and small-to-mid-sized businesses through dissolution, restructuring, or wind-down events.

You’ll be responsible for developing a repeatable law firm partnership model—one that drives high-quality customer referrals, delivers clear value to legal partners, and integrates seamlessly into how firms support their clients. These partnerships will be a core driver of SimpleClosure’s revenue growth and market credibility.

*Ideal candidates MUST be located in New York City or San Francisco metro areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a clear strategy for acquiring, enabling, and scaling partnerships with law firms and private equity firms (either direct or through law firms)

  • Define partner segmentation (e.g., startup-focused firms, regional firms, boutique practices) and ideal partner profiles

  • Design referral, revenue-share, and co-marketing models tailored to legal and private equity partners

  • Partner Development & Relationship Management

  • Identify and build relationships with attorneys, partners, and firm leadership

  • Serve as a trusted partner to law firms and private equity firms, ensuring SimpleClosure becomes an extension of their client service offering

  • Act as the primary point of contact for legal partners, anticipating needs and resolving issues proactively

  • Drive qualified customer referrals through firm partnerships

  • Collaborate with Sales to ensure smooth handoffs, clear attribution, and strong partner feedback loops

  • Structure, negotiate, and close partnership agreements that align incentives and drive long-term value

  • Partner with Product, Legal, and Engineering teams to improve workflows, compliance, and partner-facing tools

  • Work with Marketing to develop partner enablement materials, co-branded content, and training resources

  • Provide feedback from law firms and private equity firms partners to inform product and GTM strategy

  • Build onboarding, education, and enablement processes for law firms and private equity firms partners

  • Track partnership performance, pipeline contribution, and ROI

  • Iterate on the partnership model to drive scale, efficiency, and repeatability

Professional Experience & Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or channel sales, ideally working with law firms and private equity firms or professional services organizations

  • Strong understanding of how law firms and private equity firms operate, including partner incentives, client workflows, and compliance considerations

  • Proven experience structuring and closing partnership agreements that drive revenue

  • Excellent relationship-building and executive communication skills

  • Strategic thinker with a bias toward execution and measurable outcomes

  • Experience in B2B SaaS, LegalTech, FinTech, or adjacent industries

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building programs from the ground up

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for partner meetings and industry events

  • Strong negotiation skills with a focus on mutual value creation

What We Offer
  • Compensation: $110,000 – $170,000 (this includes base pay and variable compensation)

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Competitive equity package

  • Employer Covered Medical Benefits

  • Two in-person team retreats a year

  • Remote in New York City or San Francisco
