itD is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead technology sourcing initiatives that drive cost optimization, supplier performance, and procurement excellence across multiple business units. This role will be responsible for negotiating complex technology supplier agreements, guiding stakeholders through the intake-to-contract process, and delivering strategic sourcing support across software, hardware, cloud services, and IT-related spend. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in technology procurement and supplier negotiations, along with a proven track record of delivering cost savings, process improvements, and successful sourcing outcomes.

Location: Hybrid – San Francisco, CA (2 days per week onsite: Tuesday and Wednesday)
Duration: 4 Months

Pay Rate: $25 - $25.20 (hourly)

Responsibilities:
  • Lead negotiations for technology supplier agreements, including software (SaaS and on-premise), hardware, cloud services, and IT-related contracts.

  • Manage stakeholders through the intake-to-contract lifecycle, ensuring alignment with procurement policies and business objectives.

  • Launch and oversee RFP and RFI processes, including vendor evaluation, bid analysis, and recommendation development.

  • Conduct market research and benchmarking analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities, supplier innovations, and industry trends.

  • Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to define sourcing strategies and procurement requirements.

  • Foster and maintain strong supplier relationships to drive performance, mitigate risk, and support long-term business goals.

  • Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, contract governance standards, and procurement best practices.

Internal Responsibilities:
  • Attend regular internal practice community meetings.

  • Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.

  • Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).

  • Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.

  • Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).

  • Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or vendor management focused on technology categories.

  • Experience negotiating software, SaaS, hardware, cloud services, and IT supplier agreements.

  • Proven experience managing RFP/RFI processes and supplier selection initiatives.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner across technology and business teams.

  • Experience conducting supplier benchmarking, market analysis, and cost optimization initiatives.

  • Knowledge of procurement policies, contract lifecycle management, and sourcing best practices.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience supporting enterprise technology procurement initiatives in a large, complex organization.

  • Familiarity with software licensing models, cloud consumption agreements, and IT vendor ecosystems.

  • Experience driving supplier performance management and strategic supplier relationship programs.

  • Professional procurement certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, or equivalent).

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience required.
