Turion Space is building the autonomous infrastructure required to operate, protect, and sustain the in-space economy. Our programs integrate spacecraft, payloads, ground systems, and software into mission-critical systems where execution matters and failure is not an option.

As Subcontracts Program Manager, you will lead the programmatic execution of Turion’s most critical subcontracts supporting complex, multi-system spacecraft and ground programs. You will ensure subcontractors deliver on cost, schedule, and technical commitments, while serving as the primary interface between suppliers, program leadership, and internal engineering teams.

This role combines supplier leadership, program management rigor, and cross-functional coordination in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the cost, schedule, and technical performance of assigned subcontracts supporting spacecraft and ground system programs.

  • Serve as the primary interface with suppliers, coordinating multidisciplinary internal teams to ensure subcontractor deliverables align with program requirements.

  • Lead subcontract negotiations, ensuring appropriate terms, pricing, performance expectations, liability, and delivery commitments.

  • Develop and execute procurement and subcontract execution plans that proactively address risk and support contract deliverables.

  • Partner with Supply Chain, Legal, and Finance to ensure subcontract structures align with Turion’s risk posture and business objectives.

  • Lead and support internal and customer-facing milestone reviews, including dry runs and rehearsals to incorporate executive feedback.

  • Prepare and deliver clear program status updates, including presentations, KPIs, and monthly financial and performance reports for leadership and customers.

  • Use data and visual metrics to identify issues, drive corrective actions, and improve execution discipline.

  • Lead, mentor, and support team members contributing to subcontract execution, fostering accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.

  • Support business development and new program pursuits across Turion as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Project Management, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in program management, subcontract management, or supplier execution within aerospace or complex hardware systems.

  • Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors against cost, schedule, and technical requirements.

  • Strong understanding of program execution, supplier risk management, and performance metrics.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience supporting executive and customer reviews.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting large system-of-systems aerospace programs, including spacecraft and ground segments.

  • Experience negotiating and managing complex subcontracts in government or dual-use environments.

  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM), cost tracking, and program financial reporting.

  • Experience supporting customer-facing milestone reviews and executive briefings.

  • Active U.S. Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
