Company Overview
ACS (Allen Control Systems) is a defense technology company building precision robotic systems for the United States and its allies. Founded by two former U.S. Navy electrical engineers with deep experience in robotics and software, ACS brings together AI, computer vision, precision motion, and advanced hardware to solve complex defense challenges across land, air, and maritime environments.

Our flagship product, Bullfrog, is an autonomous precision weapon system that transforms existing weapons into highly accurate counter-drone systems — giving warfighters a scalable, cost-effective response to one of the fastest-growing threats on the modern battlefield. Bullfrog is deployed with U.S. forces, and ACS works with organizations throughout the U.S. military and national security community.

Following a $200 million Series B at a $2.2 billion valuation, ACS is rapidly expanding manufacturing, accelerating Bullfrog deployments, and developing the next generation of autonomous battlefield systems. This is an opportunity to join a proven, fast-moving team and help scale technology with direct, real-world impact on national security.

ACS is headquartered in Austin, Texas, with additional operations in Alexandria, Virginia; Mountain View, California; and Huntsville, Alabama. For more information, visit allencontrolsystems.com.

The ideal candidate is eager to learn, comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and interested in understanding how materials and suppliers support production from start to finish. You will work closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams while contributing to projects that directly support production and company growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Support day-to-day supply chain activities across procurement, planning, inventory, and supplier management.

  • Assist Buyers and Supply Chain team members with purchase orders, supplier follow-up, order tracking, and delivery status.

  • Communicate with suppliers regarding lead times, delivery schedules, order status, and other purchasing needs.

  • Help monitor material availability and identify potential shortages or risks that could impact production.

  • Assist with maintaining accurate supplier, purchasing, inventory, and material data within ERP/MRP systems.

  • Support inventory analysis, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives.

  • Collect and analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Help develop and maintain reports, trackers, dashboards, and supplier performance metrics.

  • Support supplier performance tracking related to quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.

  • Assist with sourcing activities, including supplier research, quote collection, and basic cost comparisons.

  • Support production planning and material readiness for upcoming builds.

  • Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to understand changing material requirements and priorities.

  • Assist with new product introduction (NPI) and supply chain readiness for new or changing products.

  • Support continuous improvement projects focused on reducing lead times, improving material flow, increasing inventory accuracy, and strengthening supplier performance.

  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and communicate project updates, risks, and findings.

  • Take ownership of assigned projects and present results or recommendations to the Supply Chain team.

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.

  • Strong interest in supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, or operations.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Self-motivated and comfortable taking ownership of assignments.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other standard productivity tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship, co-op, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, inventory, or logistics experience.

  • Experience with Excel functions such as PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.

  • Exposure to ERP/MRP systems such as Odoo, NetSuite, SAP, or similar.

  • Familiarity with purchasing, inventory management, production planning, or supplier management.

  • Experience creating reports, dashboards, or analyzing operational data.

  • Interest in manufacturing, robotics, aerospace, defense, automotive, or other hardware-focused industries.

What You’ll Gain

As a Supply Chain Intern, you will gain practical experience supporting a fast-moving manufacturing organization and learn how procurement, suppliers, inventory, planning, engineering, and production work together.

You will have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects, develop your analytical and problem-solving skills, interact directly with cross-functional teams, and gain exposure to the full supply chain lifecycle—from sourcing and purchasing through material delivery and production.

This internship is designed to provide meaningful ownership and hands-on experience while helping you build the skills needed for a future career in supply chain and operations.
