Manage semiconductor supply chain and operations during the transition from prototype to production. Responsibilities include sourcing and procuring third-party semiconductor IP, negotiating commercial terms, evaluating vendors with engineering teams, managing logistics and international trade operations, supporting foundry and OSAT activities, analyzing costs, maintaining supply chain procedures and trackers, and escalating risks. The role also supports planning, inventory, supplier relationships, and process development in a fast-moving startup environment.

Efficient Computer is rethinking computing from the ground up to solve one of AI's biggest challenges: energy. Our Fabric architecture delivers a 10–100x improvement in energy efficiency for general-purpose computation, including AI, while supporting familiar programming languages and software frameworks—unlocking new possibilities for autonomous machines, intelligent infrastructure, wearables, and space systems. With our first processor, Electron E1, now shipping in volume and more than $97 million in Series B financing recently announced, we're accelerating customer deployments and scaling our architecture to data center performance. Join us to build the hardware and software that bring intelligence wherever it's needed and help shape the next generation of computing.

About the Role

We are moving from prototype to production across several chip programs, and we are growing a small, high-impact Supply Chain and Operations team to support that ramp. We are looking for an experienced semiconductor supply chain professional to join our Supply Chain and Operations team as a hands-on Manager. The right person brings deep experience sourcing, evaluating, and procuring third-party semiconductor IP, strong logistics and trade operations skills, and a solid working understanding of the semiconductor manufacturing supply chain. You are comfortable in a startup where processes are still being built, and you work well with engineers, executives, and external partners.

What We Are Looking For

  • 6+ years (Manager) or 8+ years (Senior Manager) of supply chain, sourcing, or procurement experience, with direct experience in the semiconductor industry. Fabless, IDM, foundry, OSAT, IP vendor, and semiconductor equipment backgrounds are all welcome.
  • Proven experience sourcing, evaluating, and procuring third-party semiconductor IP (for example processor cores, interface and SerDes PHYs, memory compilers, standard cell and I/O libraries, and analog or power IP), including negotiating license fees, NRE, royalties, scope, and renewals.
  • Ability to partner with design and verification engineers to evaluate IP technically and commercially: process node and foundry compatibility, silicon proof, deliverables, vendor support, roadmap, and vendor financial health.
  • Strong logistics and trade operations experience: freight forwarders and carriers, international shipping of high-value, sensitive goods, customs clearance, import and export documentation, duties and tariffs, and incoterms.
  • Working knowledge of how a chip is designed, manufactured, packaged, tested, and shipped, with enough depth to follow supplier and engineering discussions. Hands-on foundry or OSAT management experience is a plus, but is not required.
  • Strong cost analysis, negotiation, and contract skills. Formal legal training is not required.
  • Strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel, and the discipline to build trackers, templates, and procedures and keep them current.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and the habit of keeping managers and partners informed and escalating risks early with options and a recommendation.
  • Comfort working independently and in a fast-moving startup environment, with a bias toward getting things done.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience at a startup or small company where processes were built from scratch.
  • Experience with export controls and ITAR in a semiconductor or defense-adjacent environment.
  • Experience with demand and supply planning, S&OP, and inventory management.
  • Experience with high-mix, low-volume products or early production ramps.
  • Experience with EDA tool licensing.
  • Familiarity with ERP and planning systems.
  • Professional certification such as APICS (CPIM, CSCP) or CPSM, or an MBA.

We offer a competitive base salary for this role, generally ranging from $110,000 to $160,000, plus a 10% annual bonus, meaningful equity, and comprehensive benefits. Final compensation will depend on experience, level, and location, with flexibility for the right candidate.
