We are looking for a scrappy, detail-obsessed Supply Chain Planning & Logistics Manager to own everything that moves parts from suppliers into our facility and onto our build floor. You will be our first dedicated person in this function, which means you will build the systems from scratch — spreadsheets today, ERP tomorrow. You will work closely with our Global Supply Chain Manager, engineering, and operations to keep builds on schedule and inventory under control.

Responsibilities
  • PO & Order Management: Issue and track domestic/international purchase orders; maintain an open PO tracker and support the GSM with supplier agreements, terms, and NDAs.

  • Inbound Logistics & Freight: Coordinate ocean, air, and ground freight; manage carrier/forwarder relationships, track shipments, and proactively resolve delivery delays.

  • Customs Compliance: Handle import documentation, commercial invoices, and customs paperwork in close coordination with brokers.

  • Inventory Control: Own physical and digital inventory tracking; verify inbound shipments against POs, document discrepancies, and maintain accurate receipt records.

  • Warehouse Organization: Manage on-site warehouse storage to ensure all parts are clearly labeled, binned, and easily accessible to the build team.

  • Material Planning: Monitor stock levels, flag reorder points to prevent build stoppages, and ensure on-time part arrivals to support aggressive build schedules.

  • System Building: Create lightweight planning tools (spreadsheets, Notion) to manage tracking before ERP deployment, and document workflows to prepare for eventual ERP implementation.

  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain organized records of all receipts, invoices, and shipping documents; provide regular status updates on open orders and inventory to operations and engineering teams.

Qualifications
  • Industry Experience: 5+ years of experience in material planning, logistics, or supply chain operations within a hardware-intensive environment (robotics, industrial automation, consumer electronics, etc.).

  • End-to-End Execution: Proven, hands-on experience managing purchase orders, inbound freight, and inventory tracking from start to finish.

  • Greenfield Capability: Comfortable building structure from scratch; experience operating without an ERP and creating reliable systems using spreadsheets or lightweight tools.

  • Global Logistics Savvy: Experience coordinating with international suppliers and freight forwarders, with a strong understanding of import documentation and customs processes.

  • Tech & Spreadsheet Fluency: High proficiency with Google Sheets or Excel, and a knack for picking up new software tools quickly.

  • Detail-Obsessed & Organized: Exceptional organizational skills and extreme attention to detail—you catch errors before they turn into bottlenecks.

  • Communication & Ownership: Excellent communication skills to hold suppliers accountable and keep internal teams informed; a self-starter who defaults to urgency and thrives in ambiguity.

  • ERP Implementation (Plus): Prior experience participating in or supporting an enterprise ERP implementation is a strong plus.
