The Procurement Manager will collaborate with stakeholders to manage supplier negotiations, conduct RFQs, optimize procurement strategies, and ensure compliance with policies.

As a Procurement Manager reporting to our Supply Chain and Procurement Team Manager, you will be empowered to work closely with stakeholders across Engineering and Corporate functions to deliver the goals and objectives with regards to external spend and partnerships with strategic suppliers. You will be working as a team member of Supply Chain and Procurement team at Woven by Toyota.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work synergistically with other team members to contribute to create a strong Procurement and Supply Chain team in Woven by Toyota U.S. and U.K.
- Take ownership of the assigned scope of role to manage Contingent Workforce.
- Design, implement, and manage the contingent workforce strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Manage supplier relationships including optimizing supplier panel.
- Enhance collaboration with business owners, Legal&IP, HR to build framework to operate compliant and efficient contingent workforce management.
- Manage and improve VMS (Vendor Management Systems) with support from internal stakeholders including Corporate IT team.
- Utilize data-driven insights to identify operational challenges and spearhead initiatives for process optimization.
- Negotiate various contractual agreements with suppliers, at competitive price points, including but not limited to intellectual property rights, liability for damages, and payment terms.
- Help Team Manager to develop Procurement and Supply Chain strategies aligning with each business unit's goals and processes, at the speed required for the business environment.
- Ensure compliance to Woven by Toyota's rules and policies by effectively communicating and educating members of business units
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors/Masters degree in related fields.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in Procurement / Supply Chain or strategic negotiation roles
- Experience in complex negotiations of various contractual agreements with suppliers
- Profound understanding of the High-tech Silicon/Semiconductor industry
- Experience in driving RFPs/RFQs as a Procurement / Supply Chain member
- Deep knowledge in sourcing/purchasing including Supplier Relationship Management
- Demonstrated success in a metrics-oriented environment and an ability to create, track, analyze and report out on metrics
- Experience in using software tools for Procurement / Supply Chain to ensure a smooth procure-to-pay process by collaboratively working with Finance and stakeholders
- Outstanding skill for Internal and External Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills; ability to evaluate and analyze data and to present to executive leadership with demonstrated skills of communications through documents (Google Slide/ Doc)
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience (5+ years) in autonomous vehicle or Software industry, experience of Contingent Workforce is a plus.
- Passion for Technology and Mobility
- Demonstrate commitment to cultural sensitivity and working in a diverse environment
- Demonstrate strong skill of supplier management and stakeholders engagement and coordination
- Background in procurement of automotive software, contingent workers, facilities and other IT related commodities is a plus
- Ability to speak, write and understand Japanese is a plus
- MS Degree or MBA
For positions based in Palo Alto, CA, the base pay for this position ranges from $119,000- $195,500 a year.
Your base salary is one part of your total compensation. We offer a base salary, short term and long term incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package. The total compensation offered to an employee will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and level.
