About This Job
The SVP, Consumer Lending is the executive leader with full P&L ownership across three distinct lending verticals, Auto, Marine, and Unsecured, each with unique go-to-market models. The role requires a versatile leader who can drive performance across decentralized, relationship-based sales channels and direct-to-consumer digital platforms.Auto and Marine Lending rely on field-based sales and embedded retail partnerships, requiring strong dealer/retailer relationship management and leadership of distributed national teams. Unsecured Lending operates through a digital, direct-to-consumer model focused on origination funnel performance and customer engagement.
This leader must effectively span field sales, B2B partnerships, and digital product optimization while delivering unified financial performance and operational excellence across all three businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Own full P&L performance across Auto, Marine, and Unsecured Lending, including growth, credit quality, and profitability
- Lead and scale indirect Auto and Marine channels through dealer and retail partner relationships
- Oversee a national field sales team and drive production, coverage, and performance
- Grow Marine retail partnerships and expand embedded financing opportunities
- Manage Unsecured Lending digital performance, including application funnel conversion and customer experience
- Partner with Product and Technology to enhance digital capabilities and optimize enrollment
- Set and execute growth strategy across all three business lines
- Partner with Credit and Risk to maintain strong underwriting standards and portfolio health
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Compliance, Operations, and Technology
- Report performance and strategy updates to executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 12+ years in consumer lending; 7+ years in senior leadership with P&L ownership
- Experience in indirect/dealer, retail partner, or unsecured consumer lending
- Proven ability to lead field-based sales teams and manage partner channels
- Strong digital lending and conversion optimization experience
- Deep understanding of credit, pricing, and portfolio management
- Track record of driving growth across multiple channels
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience in a regulated banking environment preferred
