About Code Metal:

Code Metal is redefining code translation for mission-critical industries, enabling defense, automotive, and semiconductor partners to move more quickly and reliably from algorithm to silicon. We’re seeking a leader to penetrate the government markets and drive government revenue growth—someone who can see around corners, put Code Metal in position as policy and acquisition priorities evolve, navigate complex programs, understand and explain our complex technology, and chart a growth path across services and combatant commands.

The Role:
This role blends strategy, capture, and relationship-building. You’ll partner directly with company execs to inform, co-develop, execute, and lead the government GTM strategy - ideal for someone who understands the current and emerging defense acquisition ecosystem and can quarterback engagements from introduction to contract execution. You’re excited about working at a dual-use company with proven AI, whose mission is to solve some of the government’s most urgent problems. You also crave everything from the national security mission to figuring out and rapidly getting on the best contract vehicle to enable delivery. You’ll work closely with Service and DOW acquisition staffs, PEOs, and product managers to expand with existing customers and identify new opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Define, lead, and execute the GTM strategy across the Department of War (DOW), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and related federal programs
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships across services, acquisition organizations, combatant commands, and other government bodies
  • Shape and turn opportunities into contracts
  • Co-orchestrate congressional engagements to ensure decision makers and influencers have accurate information on Code Metal execution and potential contribution to National Security.
  • Anticipate and maintain status of relevant policy, budget, and acquisition shifts that open new opportunities
  • Collaborate with technical teams to align Code Metal’s product with government needs
  • Manage the growing government GTM team

Why Code Metal?

  • Mission with impact: be a part of delivering an innovative, provably correct AI technology against urgent government needs.
  • Velocity: tight loops, tiny teams - establish a strategy in the morning, deploy by evening.
  • Ownership: no spectators - lead our government growth team
  • Growth: We went from a SBIR Phase 1 to a Phase 3 within 12 months and have line of sight on the far side of the valley of death.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (MBA a plus)
  • Experience in business development, capture, or GTM leadership within government or defense technology sectors with a proven history of success
  • Deep understanding of DOW acquisition, procurement, and team structures and processes
  • Proven track record of expanding business from single-branch engagements into multi-branch programs
  • Demonstrated success driving multi-million-dollar defense programs or contracts
  • Exceptional relationship building, communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills
  • US Citizen required (clearance preferred)
  • Remote OK

Benefits
  • Pay depends on experience, but we strive to be at the upper end of the salary range
  • Health care plan with 100% premium coverage, including medical, dental, and vision.
  • 401k with 5% matching.
  • Paid Time Off (Uncapped Vacation, plus Sick & Public Holidays).
  • Flexible hybrid or remote work arrangement.
  • Relocation assistance for qualifying employees.
