Job Summary:
The Financial/HR ERP Systems Analyst will work with a team providing customer support, testing, documentation, training and software installation/configuration of Banner Finance and Human Resources ERP applications. This position will be focused on providing ongoing customer consultation, analysis and training of the Banner HR software.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Front-line issue resolution via phone, e-mail, and Web.
- Responsible for in-depth troubleshooting & problem determination in resolution of software issues.
- Identify software issues through recreation of customer issue and provide necessary details needed for associated bug, enhancement or change request.
- Work collaboratively with Ellucian support and development teams in problem resolution.
- Attend Ellucian-sponsored training in continuous learning of product development & enhancements.
- Work collaboratively with other Banner team members to provide a high level of customer satisfaction and service delivery.
- Provide User training via Web as well as at customer sites.
- Develop and prepare procedural User documentation and presentations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in business workflow experience including Governmental Financial software systems, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Payroll and Human Resources, Accounts Receivable, etc.
- 3+ years’ experience in a customer service role.
- Strong customer relations, communication, and training experience.
- Experience working in a virtual teamwork environment.
- Experience working with external agencies such as IRS, SSA & State Retirement systems in providing electronic file submissions.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong Customer service and analytical skills required.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal, verbal & written, with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical individuals. Must be able to work independently and within a team environment to provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, prioritize tasks, and execute without constant supervision.
- Proven ability to meet project timelines for deliverables.
- Ability to clearly document requirements, results, and feedback to aid in problem resolution and product enhancement.
- Development and presentation of customer training and associated documentation.
- Ability to adapt to ongoing changes in the business environment.
- Seek continuous learning opportunities.
- Banner software support experience preferred.
Work Environment:
- Office setting with a moderate noise level.
- The employee will work at an individual workstation, using a telephone and computer.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to remain seated for extended periods.
- Regular use of a computer and other office machinery, such as printers and copy machines.
- Occasional movement around the office.
- Frequent communication via telephone.
