OVERVIEW:

The Systems Engineer II - Disaster Recovery designs, implements, and maintains disaster recovery and data protection solutions with a strong focus on Rubrik as the primary DR platform. This role supports day-to-day operational activities, contributes to cloud and automation initiatives, and ensures the availability, integrity, and recoverability of critical enterprise systems across on‑premises and cloud environments. This position aligns to the System Engineer II job family and operates within a disaster recovery and resilience domain, collaborating closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams. 

 

  • Disaster Recovery & Data Protection: Support daily operations of the enterprise disaster recovery platform, with primary responsibility for Rubrik environments, including on‑premises clusters and cloud integrations. Assist with Cloud Native Protection for Azure workloads along with other critical identity and collaboration platforms including policy configuration, validation, and recovery testing. 

  • Cloud & Automation: Assist with Azure migration initiatives, ensuring workloads are appropriately protected during and after migration. Contribute to the design and development of disaster recovery automation, including runbooks, orchestration, and recovery workflows. Help identify opportunities to improve resiliency through automation and standardization. 

  • Operations & Maintenance: Perform routine health checks, monitoring, and maintenance of Rubrik infrastructure and integrations. Assist with fault isolation, root cause analysis, and remediation of moderately complex DR and data protection issues. Participate in recovery testing, failover exercises, and validation activities. 

  • Documentation & Continuous Improvement: Create and maintain accurate documentation of DR architectures, configurations, recovery procedures, and operational runbooks. Contribute to improvements in DR design, processes, and standards to enhance technical continuity and operational maturity. Stay current on disaster recovery technologies, cloud services, and industry best practices through ongoing learning. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent level preferred

  • General Experience: Experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised (13 months to 3 years)

  • Managerial Experience: None

Targeted Pay Range: $76,500.00 - $124,600.00. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
