As a Systems Engineer II at Honeywell, you’ll contribute to the design, integration, verification, and delivery of aerospace systems and solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and performance. You’ll work cross‑functionally with engineering, program, and product teams to implement requirements, resolve issues, and improve system quality throughout the lifecycle.


You will work in Phoenix, AZ on a hybrid schedule. No relocation offered.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design and development of complex aerospace systems, ensuring alignment with Honeywell’s quality and safety standards.
  • Decompose, trace, and manage system and subsystem requirements; maintain bidirectional traceability and validate acceptance criteria. 
  • Contribute to system architecture, interface control documentation, and design analyses; assist with trade studies and risk assessments. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions and drive project success.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring systems meet performance and compliance requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies. 
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in systems engineering within aerospace or related industries.
  • Knowledge of systems integration, implementation, and troubleshooting in complex aerospace systems.
  • Proficiency with aerospace engineering tools and technologies, including system modeling and simulation software.
  • Experience with compliance standards and regulatory requirements relevant to aerospace systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently under guidance, with sound judgment.
