Position Summary: 

The Systems Engineer III, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems and solutions that meet the technological needs of our organization. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing requirements, and ensuring the smooth integration of hardware, software, cloud, and network components to achieve efficient and reliable system performance..


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

o Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand Systems and Cloud Infrastructure requirements.

o Implement end-to-end systems that align with business objectives and technical constraints.

o Create detailed system specifications, including hardware, software, and network components.

o Coordinate the integration of hardware, software, cloud, and network elements to build comprehensive systems.

o Oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of system components.

o Ensure seamless interoperability between different system components.

o Monitor system performance and identify bottlenecks or areas for improvement.

o Implement optimization strategies to enhance system efficiency, scalability, and reliability.

o Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to system performance.

o Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within systems.

o Develop and implement strategies to mitigate security threats and system failures.

o Implement Cloud-native DevOps and CICD Solutions based on Application Requirements.

o Establish backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and system continuity.

o Be primary on-call Engineer for Cloud, Systems and Application Infrastructure one week out of six weeks. Frequency may change slightly. Be secondary on-call Engineer for Cloud, Systems and Application Infrastructure one week out of six weeks.

o Create user manuals, technical guides, and operational procedures for system users and administrators.

o Strong demonstrable proficiency in Linux and Operating Systems Layer Troubleshooting.


Minimum Education & Experience Qualifications:

o Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field

o 5+ years of related experience, master’s degree and 3+ years of related experience, or equivalent related work experience. 

o Strong understanding of system architecture, networking, cloud infrastructure, and software development concepts.

o Proficiency in Systems and Cloud infrastructure design tools, configuration management, and monitoring systems.

o Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and protocols.

o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

o Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Assesses unusual circumstances and uses sophisticated analytical and problem solving techniques to identify causes. Resolves and assesses a wide range of issues in creative ways and suggests variations in approach. This job is a fully qualified, experienced professional, journey-level position.

Complexity & Problem Solving: Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of information requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Devises solutions based on limited information and precedent and adapts existing approaches to resolve issues. Uses evaluation, judgment, and interpretation to select the right course of action. Work is done independently and is reviewed at critical points.

Collaboration & Interaction: Enhances relationships and networks with senior internal/external partners who are not familiar with the subject matter often requiring persuasion. Adapts style to different audiences and often advises others on difficult matters.
