PEOPLE & CULTURE / Responsible for identifying, engaging, and hiring high-quality temporary and contract talent across our national business portfolio, with a focus on hospitality, event marketing, and early career roles.

WHERE YOU’LL WORK

Our headquarters are in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position can be flexible with priority given to candidates open to hybrid work (3 days week in office) in one of our office locations - - Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, Los Angeles, CA, and Miami, FL. We will also consider a remote-based working arrangement for qualified candidates with East Coast working hours as a prerequisite.

WHEN YOU’LL WORK

Contract Dates: Immediate – May 31, 2026 (dates flexible)

Contract Type: W-2 Employment

Hours: 40hrs/week

THE WORK YOU’LL DO

You’ll be the organizational support of the talent acquisition team, ensuring smooth, accurate, and efficient execution of hiring operations. From job setup and candidate scheduling to onboarding and compliance tracking, you’ll help keep our recruiting engine running at full speed. This role will be critical in supporting hiring for our large-scale FIFA World Cup™ programs, helping staff 500+ event and operations roles nationwide.

  • Support pre-employment and onboarding processes, including background checks, document collection, and system setup.
  • Maintain organized candidate records and hiring documentation across multiple systems.
  • Schedule candidate interviews and coordinate logistics between hiring teams and applicants.
  • Provide operational and administrative support for the FIFA World Cup™ hiring project and other large-scale events.
  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to monitor hiring progress and report on key metrics.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements that streamline communication and reduce time to fill.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 2–4 years of experience in recruiting coordination, HR operations, or administrative support.
  • Prior experience supporting high-volume or event-based hiring strongly preferred.
  • Experience using Greenhouse ATS or Workday HCM is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Proven ability to stay organized in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Comfortable managing data, reporting, and documentation in spreadsheets or HR systems.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and supporting dynamic, people-focused processes.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
  • Anticipated travel level: Low (0–15%).

Compensation: $22/hour. This role is not overtime-eligible. Contract positions with Octagon are not benefits-eligible.
