Responsibilities
- Talent Management
- Own the design and implementation of company-wide Talent Review and Succession Planning processes to identify, assess, and develop employees for critical roles.
- Develop and manage career pathing frameworks and competency models that support employee growth and organizational agility.
- Architect the AI-Fluency Competency Model: Partner with key stakeholders to help define and embed the behavioral standards and technical competencies for AI fluency across the workforce (e.g., responsible use, prompt engineering).
- Partner closely with People Analytics and HRBPs on our employee listening strategy; leverage insights to shape our learning & talent strategies.
- Analyze talent insights to inform workforce needs assessment, evaluate talent process effectiveness, and drive organizational decision making.
- Integrate diversity and inclusion principles into all talent management and succession processes.
- Embed AI into all talent workflows to elevate efficiency, accuracy, decision quality, and customer experience for employees and managers.
- Own and design a comprehensive Performance Review strategy that is responsive to business needs and nuances (objective setting, check-ins, year-end reviews, calibration).
- Analyze performance data to identify trends, ensure consistency, and recommend enhancements to drive higher employee engagement and productivity.
- Collaborate with the People Technology team to design and implement system enhancements that streamline the talent and performance review cycle and improve the user experience.
- Partner closely with Total Rewards to ensure our talent processes support pay for performance methodologies.
- Facilitate sessions that feel more like conversations than presentations-engaging employees at every level.
- Work directly with our Human Resource Business Partners and business leaders to identify real capability gaps-and solve them in ways that don't always mean more training or workshops.
Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP)
- Working backwards from our internal mobility goals and philosophy, implement skill-based workforce planning solutions that enable Cloudflare to forecast capability gaps, identify skill adjacencies, and guide our talent decisions.
- Introduce an AI-enabled and system-driven operating model that connects employees to roles, projects, and development opportunities.
- Integrate AI skills intelligence into hiring, development, performance, and mobility to enable a more fluid and adaptive workforce.
- Identify critical talent gaps, surpluses, and skill adjacencies, developing mitigation strategies (e.g., build, buy, borrow).

- Consulting & Partnering: You have a strong ability to build trust and credibility with business leaders as a subject matter expert, and to work effectively across multiple business areas and teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Change Management: You are skilled in leading organizational change and ensuring successful adoption of new HR processes.
Desirable Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a strong focus on Talent Management, Workforce Planning, and Performance Management.
- Proven experience partnering directly with C-suite executives within a rapidly scaling organization.
- Technology industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources (or related field) required. Advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated success running large-scale, complex HR programs (e.g., annual performance cycle, talent review).
- Highly proficient in using Workday and other HR systems/tools tools to extract, analyze, and present data-driven insights to senior leaders.
- Prompt Engineering & Design: Experience using LLMs to accelerate content creation and organizational research.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Compensation
Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.
- For Bay Area based hires: Estimated annual salary of $154,000 - $212,000
- For New York City based hired; Estimated annual salary of $148,000 - $204,000
