Provides temporary, full-time talent sourcing support for recruiting skilled-trade roles, initially Journeyman Welders and Shipfitters. Searches recruiting platforms and databases, reviews resumes, identifies qualified candidates, organizes pipelines, tracks sourcing metrics, maintains accurate records, and provides Recruiters with candidates for outreach. The role requires Boolean search, high-volume candidate screening, internet research, strong organization, and experience with skilled-trades or industrial recruiting.

Shared Ice Services (“SIS”) provides essential support services to both of our operating companies—Nichols Brothers Boat Builders and Everett Ship Repair. Together, these two operating companies represent the strength and presence of Ice Cap Holdings in the Pacific Northwest maritime community.

Your mission is simple: find qualified people and get them into our recruiting pipeline. We are seeking a Talent Sourcing Specialist to provide temporary, full-time support to our recruiting team during a period of significant hiring demand.

This is a highly focused sourcing position—not a full-cycle recruiting role.Your primary responsibility will be to search for potential candidates, review resumes and profiles, identify people who meet established job requirements, organize qualified candidates into our recruiting pipelines, and hand them off to our Recruiters.

Initially, your primary focus will be identifying qualified Journeyman Welders and Shipfitters for our shipbuilding operations.

Our Recruiters will own candidate engagement and the recruiting process. You will help make them more effective by ensuring they have a consistent flow of qualified people to contact.

What You'll Do:

  • Search Indeed, FactoryFix, LinkedIn, our ATS, resume databases, and other recruiting platforms for potential candidates.
  • Review resumes and candidate profiles against established position qualifications.
  • Identify candidates who meet or closely align with skilled-trade experience requirements.
  • Conduct Boolean, keyword, location, title, skill, and competitor searches to uncover candidates who may not have applied directly.
  • Search and re-evaluate previous applicants and existing candidate databases.
  • Categorize and organize qualified candidates into appropriate folders, pipelines, and recruiting stages.
  • Provide Recruiters with a consistent flow of qualified candidates for review and outreach.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records, sourcing information, notes, and dispositions.
  • Identify patterns in candidate availability and recommend adjustments to search criteria when appropriate.
  • Track sourcing activity and results so we understand which platforms and searches are producing qualified candidates.
  • Conduct limited candidate outreach when requested or when necessary to validate candidate interest or basic information.
  • Shift sourcing priorities as hiring needs change.
Qualifications

Required

  • 1+ year of recruiting, talent sourcing, staffing, recruiting coordination, or related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to search resume databases and identify candidates against defined job requirements.
  • Experience sourcing using Indeed, LinkedIn, an ATS, resume databases, or similar recruiting tools.
  • Working knowledge of Boolean search techniques.
  • Ability to quickly review resumes and distinguish qualified candidates from applicants who do not meet minimum requirements.
  • Skilled-trades, manufacturing, construction, industrial, maritime, shipbuilding, or staffing-industry recruiting experience.
  • Strong internet research and candidate-search skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a high volume of candidate profiles and searches.
  • Comfortable working in a metrics-driven, fully remote environment.
  • Strong written communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Preferred

  • Experience sourcing Welders, Shipfitters, Pipefitters, Electricians, Mechanics, Machinists, or similar skilled-trade positions.
  • Experience organizing and maintaining high-volume candidate pipelines.

Key Performance Indicators:

Success is measured primarily by the quality and consistency of candidates delivered to the Recruiters, including:

  • Qualified Candidates Identified — Number of candidates presented who meet established minimum qualifications.
  • Recruiter Acceptance Rate — Percentage of sourced candidates Dane and Scott determine are appropriate for recruiter outreach.
  • Qualified Pipeline Growth — Weekly increase in qualified candidates available for priority positions.
  • Sourcing Productivity — Consistent search and resume-review activity across assigned platforms.
  • Source Effectiveness — Identification of which databases, searches, and sourcing strategies produce the strongest candidates.
  • Data Accuracy — Candidates are correctly categorized, documented, and moved into the appropriate pipeline.
  • Speed to Pipeline — Qualified candidates are identified and routed to Recruiters quickly.

What Success Looks Like

Success is straightforward: our Recruiters start each day with qualified candidates to contact.

You will create leverage for our recruiting team by doing the research, searching, resume review, filtering, and organization necessary to keep qualified talent flowing into the recruiting pipeline.

If you enjoy searching for talent, digging through databases, recognizing a strong resume, and finding the candidate everyone else missed, this may be a great fit.
