Tax SME (Business Transformation and Technology)

We are looking for a Tax Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our growing team — someone who bridges deep tax technical knowledge with a passion for innovation, technology enablement, and process transformation.

As a Tax SME at HubSync, you’ll serve as the key link between our product, engineering, and client success teams — helping shape the next generation of HubSync’s automation solutions for the tax and accounting industry. You will leverage your experience in partnership taxation, business transformation, and technology implementation to design scalable solutions that solve real-world challenges faced by accounting firms and tax professionals.

• Product Leadership: Partner with the product and development teams to translate complex tax workflows into intuitive, automated technology solutions within the HubSync platform.
• Tax Expertise: Provide deep technical and process knowledge in U.S. federal and state taxation
• Solution Design: Define business requirements, develop user stories, and oversee testing for new automation and data integration capabilities.
• Client Enablement: Work directly with accounting firms and enterprise tax departments to identify automation opportunities and drive adoption of HubSync’s platform.
• Innovation & Transformation: Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization, leveraging tools like Alteryx, Power BI, and emerging technologies (AI/ML).
• Thought Leadership: Serve as a trusted advisor on tax process automation trends and contribute to HubSync’s innovation roadmap.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the voice of the tax professional in internal discussions with product, technology, and leadership teams.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MST preferred.
• Experience: 7+ years of experience in public accounting, tax technology, or tax process transformation (Big 4 or top-tier firm experience strongly preferred).
• Proven experience leading tax automation and innovation initiatives — from ideation through implementation and adoption.
• Strong familiarity with tax compliance workflows and technologies (e.g., GoSystem, OneSource, Alteryx, Power BI, or similar tools).
• Demonstrated success in product management or technology enablement roles within a professional services environment.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
