What do we need

Dotmatics Flow Cytometry offers leading data analysis solutions that bridge the gaps between flow cytometry, machine learning, analytical pipelines, and results through our flagship cloud platform OMIQ and desktop solution FCS Express. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Flow Cytometry team as a Technical Applications Scientist. Our division offers a dynamic work environment, cutting-edge technology, and the opportunity to work across multiple product platforms.

In this role you will:

  • Provide technical support via phone, email, and remote access for OMIQ and FCS Express
  • Conduct one-on-one training for clients across our product suite
  • Write technical documentation, tutorials, manuals, and web content
  • Represent Dotmatics Flow Cytometry at trade shows and conferences
  • Schedule presentations and demonstrate our software solutions at Flow Cytometry Core labs in universities and companies
  • Suggest new features and improvements to our products
  • Work collaboratively across our integrated Flow Cytometry team to ensure unified customer experience

We are looking for candidates with a Masters or PhD in biology, chemistry, or similar field, or 3-5 years' experience in technical support for scientific software, preferably with multiple data analysis packages. You'll also have Familiarity with general principles and practices of cytometry and specialized flow cytometry techniques

The key skills we are looking for:

  • Extensive general computer experience with common MS Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Expert experience in providing pre- and post-installation application support
  • Working in cross-functional teams supporting multiple software platforms
  • Familiarity with specialized flow cytometry techniques including cell cycle, proliferation, calcium flux analysis, and others
  • Use of non-flow cytometry data analysis tools (Prism, R, Excel, and others)
  • Imaging cytometry and imaging applications background
  • Use of algorithmic tools for cytometry analysis (e.g. tSNE, flowSOM, UMAP, flowCut, etc.)
  • Cloud-based SaaS platforms and collaborative data workflows (desirable)

The position will involve approximately up to 50% travel (predominately in the United States but also worldwide).
