The Technical Business Specialist/Senior will play a key role in advancing Operational Excellence and Technology initiatives across Midstream Operations & Engineering and Insight to Action. This position will bridge business operations, field execution, data, and technology by working directly with Midstream Departments, and other stakeholders to understand current-state processes, identify improvement opportunities, and translate business needs into scalable solutions.

The role will support a portfolio of strategic initiatives focused on improving operational performance, standardizing processes, strengthening data quality and governance, and enabling technology-driven capabilities across Midstream. This may include initiatives involving SCADA, EAM/Maximo, Maintenance & Reliability, operational data and analytics, workflow automation, system integrations, and other emerging technologies.

Working closely with field personnel and functional subject matter experts, the Technical Business Specialist/Senior will help move opportunities from insight to action; assessing current conditions, defining future-state requirements, supporting solution design and implementation, and measuring business outcomes. The position will serve as a critical connection point between operational needs and technology solutions to ensure initiatives deliver measurable value and support EQT Midstream broader Operational Excellence strategy.

The Technical Business Specialist/Senior responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Midstream Control Center, IT, and Shared Services to identify, assess, and prioritize Operational Excellence and Technology opportunities across Midstream.
  • Conduct field and business assessments to understand existing processes, workflows, system utilization, data dependencies, and operational pain points.
  • Map and evaluate “As-Is” and “To-Be” processes, identifying opportunities for standardization, simplification, automation, and improved technology enablement.
  • Translate operational and business needs into clear business requirements, functional requirements, use cases, process designs, and implementation priorities.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret operational, asset, and system data to identify performance gaps, root causes, trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support strategic technology initiatives across platforms such as SCADA, EAM/Maximo, operational analytics, workflow solutions, system integrations, and emerging technologies.
  • Support the development of metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and performance measures that connect technology and process improvements to measurable operational outcomes.
  • Evaluate opportunities to leverage automation, advanced analytics, condition monitoring, and other technology capabilities to improve efficiency, reliability, visibility, and decision-making.
  • Build strong working relationships with field crews, engineers, planners, control center personnel, technology teams, and other stakeholders to ensure solutions reflect real operational needs and field conditions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional working sessions to gather requirements, align stakeholders, resolve process or technology gaps, and move initiatives from concept through implementation.
  • Support data quality, governance, and standardization efforts across Midstream systems to establish trusted and scalable operational data foundations.
  • Assist with business case development, solution evaluation, implementation planning, testing, change management, and adoption for Operational Excellence and Technology initiatives.
  • Develop clear reporting, analysis, presentations, and recommendations that translate complex operational and technical information into actionable insights for Midstream leadership.
  • Track initiative progress, risks, dependencies, benefits, and outcomes to ensure projects remain aligned with broader Midstream Operations & Engineering and Insight to Action objectives.
  • Prioritize high-value opportunities across a dynamic portfolio of initiatives, balancing immediate operational needs with EQT Midstream longer-term technology and Operational Excellence roadmap.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, engineering, or a closely related field required.
  • 3-5+ years of Midstream, pipeline, or upstream oil & gas operations experience.
  • Must be able to speak the language of field operations, not just business analysis in the abstract.
  • Direct exposure to at least one of: SCADA systems, EAM/Maximo, or operational data platforms in an industrial (not office-software) context.
  • Demonstrated experience mapping current-state ("As-Is") and future-state ("To-Be") business processes.
  • Track record translating operational/field needs into formal business requirements, functional requirements, or use cases.
  • Experience running or facilitating cross-functional requirements-gathering sessions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working directly with operational/asset data; cleaning, analyzing, and drawing conclusions, not just consuming dashboards someone else built.
  • Experience building or contributing to KPIs, metrics, or performance dashboards tied to business outcomes.
  • Familiarity with data quality/governance concepts (ownership, standards, trust) at a practical level, not just theoretical.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • EAM/Maximo experience - Work order management, asset data structures, or admin-level familiarity.
  • SCADA experience - Understanding of how field telemetry/control systems feed into business processes and data pipelines.
  • Workflow automation or system integration projects; has actually helped implement or improve a tool, not just used one.
  • Experience tracking multiple initiatives simultaneously; progress, risk, dependencies, benefits in a portfolio-style environment rather than single-project work.
  • Business case development or cost-benefit analysis experience.
  • Exposure to implementation cycles: solution evaluation → design → testing → change management → adoption (full lifecycle, not just the front-end analysis).
  • Strong track record building trust with field personnel, crews, planners, control center staff who are typically skeptical of office-driven change.
  • Ability to produce clear, leadership-ready reporting and presentations that translate technical/operational complexity into decisions.
  • Comfortable being a "connector" role no direct technical build authority, but responsible for aligning IT, Operations, Engineering, and Shared Services around a shared solution.

Remote work is being considered for this role excluding the following states:  California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Tennessee unless willing to relocate.

Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.

EQT Corporation and its subsidiaries is an Equal Opportunity Employer -- Disabilities/Veterans.
