Technical Consultant

About UptimeAI:

UptimeAI provides AI reasoning agents that help industrial operations teams make goal-oriented, real-time decisions.

Industrial facilities are rich in data but constrained by the expertise required to maintain and interpret it. As experienced engineers retire and operational complexity grows, organizations struggle to scale the expert judgment needed to maintain reliability, safety, and performance.

UptimeAI addresses this challenge by embedding engineering reasoning directly into AI agents that continuously analyze operational data, diagnose issues, and guide teams toward the best actions. The result is faster decisions, reduced downtime, improved efficiency, and stronger operational performance.

Department: Technical Consultant

Role Overview

As a Technical Consultant at UptimeAI, you will be the primary technical point of contact for our customers throughout their entire journey—from onboarding and implementation to ongoing growth and expansion. You will serve as the customer’s trusted technical advisor post-contract, ensuring their success by understanding operations, translating requirements into actionable plans, and driving adoption, value realization, and optimization.

You’ll lead discovery, capture detailed technical and operational requirements, and guide customers in maximizing the impact of UptimeAI solutions. Your ability to communicate clearly, understand customer processes, and advocate for their goals will be critical in accelerating time to value, ensuring reliable outcomes, and positioning the account for long-term growth.

What You'll Do:

  • Act as the technical lead throughout the customer lifecycle, from onboarding and implementation to ongoing adoption and growth.

  • Run discovery sessions to gather detailed operational and technical requirements.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the customer’s processes, performance goals, and long-term objectives.

  • Translate business and technical needs into structured input for offshore implementation teams and internal stakeholders (e.g., data requirements, model logic, alert configurations).

  • Own technical communication with the customer, ensuring confidence, clarity, and alignment throughout the engagement.

  • Identify risks, blockers, or adoption gaps early and proactively work toward resolution.

  • Drive time to value by pushing for efficient delivery, adoption, and operational improvements while maintaining high quality.

  • Partner closely with Delivery, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure the solution meets or exceeds customer expectations.

  • Act as a customer advocate, ensuring their goals are understood, incorporated, and prioritized across the delivery and growth process.

  • Support long-term account growth by identifying opportunities for optimization, expansion, and additional value realization.

  • Serve as the primary technical escalation, addressing architecture-related questions, defending platform capabilities, and ensuring customer confidence in performance and reliability.

  • Articulate the value of the platform clearly to customers, helping them understand how UptimeAI drives business outcomes

Must Have:

  • 7+ years of experience leading technical engagements across the full customer lifecycle, from onboarding to adoption and growth.

  • Process Engineering Background: Hands-on experience with reliability, process optimization, troubleshooting, or asset performance in a technical role.

  • Strong ability to gather, translate, and communicate operational and technical requirements to internal and offshore teams.

  • Demonstrated expertise in building customer trust, acting as a technical escalation point, and defending platform capabilities.

  • Skilled in identifying risks, resolving blockers, and driving time-to-value while maintaining high quality.

  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams and advocating for customer goals throughout the engagement.

  • Ability to clearly articulate platform value, linking technical solutions to measurable business outcomes.

What Success Looks Like

  • Customers feel confident and supported from Day 1 of implementation.

  • Discoveries are captured with clarity and depth, enabling effective model development.

  • Time to value is shortened without compromising quality.

  • Customers view you as a trusted advisor and technical partner.
