UptimeAI – Technical Consultant

About this role:

As a Technical Consultant at UptimeAI, you will be the primary technical point of contact for our customers during the implementation phase. You will serve as the first expert the customer meets post-contract, setting the tone for a successful engagement by building trust, understanding their operations, and translating their requirements into actionable tasks for our offshore implementation team.

You’ll drive discovery, capture detailed technical requirements, and ensure a seamless handoff for model development. Your ability to speak the customer’s language—especially in the context of process optimization—will be key to accelerating time to value and delivering quality outcomes.

What You'll Do:

  • Act as the technical lead during the customer onboarding and implementation phase.

  • Run discovery sessions to gather detailed operational and technical requirements.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the customer’s process and performance goals.

  • Translate business and technical needs into structured input for offshore implementation teams (e.g., data requirements, model logic).

  • Own technical communication with the customer, ensuring confidence, clarity, and alignment throughout implementation.

  • Identify risks or blockers early and proactively work toward resolution.

  • Drive time to value by pushing for efficient delivery while maintaining high quality.

  • Partner closely with delivery, product, and offshore teams to ensure the solution meets customer expectations.

  • Act as a customer advocate, ensuring their goals are understood and incorporated into the delivery process.

Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Delivery: 3+ years of experience leading discovery and requirements within Delivery or Professional Services.

  • Translating Customer Needs into Technical Specs: Skilled in converting customer goals and system knowledge into data requirements and model logic for implementation teams.

  • Domain Expertise: Experience delivering IoT, Predictive Analytics, Digital Transformation, APM, or Condition Monitoring projects in the process or manufacturing industries.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of team dynamics.

Strong Plus:

  • Process Engineering Background: Hands-on experience with reliability, process optimization, troubleshooting, or asset performance in a technical role.

  • Industrial Data Familiarity: Familiarity with P&ID, maintenance data, and historian data formats used in industrial environments.

What Success Looks Like

  • Customers feel confident and supported from Day 1 of implementation.

  • Discoveries are captured with clarity and depth, enabling effective model development.

  • Time to value is shortened without compromising quality.

  • Customers view you as a trusted advisor and technical partner.
