Job DescriptionKIOXIA America Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Technical Ecosystem Project Manager Specialist to develop and grow our SSD business in the SSD ecosystem development segment. This individual directly reports into the SSD BU and requires a unique blend of strategic negotiation, technical, and marketing skills. Not only will you coordinate internally with many cross-functional teams to reach critical business decisions on ecosystem and technical support strategy, but you will work with world-class ecosystem leaders directly in the industry. The ecosystem scope includes hardware companies such as CPUs, PCIe related peripherals, etc. and software companies such as Operating Systems, Storage Drivers, Virtualization Software, Software-Defined Storage (SDS) and so on.
Our ideal candidate will leverage their technical background to drive and manage ecosystem strategy at both a tactical and strategic level while working closely with customers, sales, product and business development managers, technical marketing and support, business ops, and other cross-functional teams. This is a complex job that requires exceptional attention to detail, multi-tasking capabilities, and the ability to follow through on initiatives with many internal teams.
Key activities include: Roadmap alignment with ecosystem partners, SSD sample planning, SSD validation testing and developing execution strategies on joint marketing and collaboration activities. This position provides an excellent opportunity to participate in growing the SSD ecosystem industry including NVMe, SDS, and other new emerging markets such as AI/ML, block-chain and autonomous driving.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact (PoC) for KIOXIA’s ecosystem strategy, leading the development, expansion, and management of strategic partnerships with leading global technology companies
- Build and execute a scalable ecosystem strategy that aligns with KIOXIA’s product roadmap, market priorities, and revenue objectives
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Technical Support teams to operationalize ecosystem initiatives, including:
- Driving SSD sampling programs, AVL qualification, and interoperability (interop) testing with key ecosystem partners
- Planning and executing joint workshops, plug-fests, and validation events to accelerate solution readiness and customer adoption
- Aligning technology roadmaps and reference architectures with hyperscalers, OEMs, and platform partners
- Supporting customer engagements with ecosystem-backed solutions and joint value propositions
- Lead ecosystem presence at industry forums and customer-facing events, ensuring strong technical and strategic positioning of KIOXIA solutions
- Act as a bridge between technical and commercial domains, enabling effective communication across engineering, business, and partner teams
- Identify, prioritize, and onboard new strategic partners to expand KIOXIA’s ecosystem footprint in AI, hyperscale, and enterprise markets
- Develop and track KPIs for ecosystem success, including design wins, qualifications, joint solutions, and revenue influence
- Drive go-to-market alignment with partners, including joint messaging, solution briefs, and co-marketing initiatives
- 7+ years of experience in ecosystem development, partnerships, or program management within the semiconductor, storage, or broader data center technology industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field
- MBA or Master’s degree preferred
- Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional programs and influence without authority across global teams
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging both technical and executive audiences
Technical & Domain Expertise
- Solid understanding of:
- Enterprise, Data Center, and Client SSD architectures (NVMe, PCIe Gen4/5/6, EDSFF form factors)
- Storage systems and infrastructure (RAID, distributed storage, hyperscale architectures)
- Software-defined storage, virtualization, and operating systems (Linux, Kubernetes, VMware, etc.)
- Familiarity with:
- AI/ML infrastructure trends, including GPU-based systems, storage tiering, and data pipelines
- Interoperability standards and industry bodies (e.g., NVMe, OCP, SNIA)
- Qualification processes (AVL), validation flows, and system-level integration challenges

The expected salary for this position is $108,310.00 - $180,520.00.
