The Technical Equipment Supervisor (TES), is the main responsible person for the technical state of the Cable Burial Tool (CBT), whether on the vessel during operations or on shore during maintenance and modifications. The TES is also the main responsible person on the vessel to execute burial in accordance with the agreed burial methodology and has a key role in the optimization of the burial process, improvement program for the trencher and the training of the operational crew.Your responsibilities
  • Primary point of contact for the trencher crew.

  • Continuously monitor and assess the performance of personnel and equipment.

  • Identify and implement all Cable Burial team training requirements as appropriate

  • Stimulate a cooperative and healthy working atmosphere on board.

  • Liaise with OIM, Field Engineer(s), Shift Supervisors, Operators, Survey, Chief Engineer, Trenching Rock and Landfall Engineering Department and Trenching Experts in relation the CBT and associated procedures for that, or any other project specific burial equipment to fulfil the scope of work

  • Understand the contractual requirements in relation the Cable Burial Operations

  • Understand the project scope of work for the Cable Burial and review all project specific Cable Burial documentation.

  • Responsible for the correct operation and maintenance of the CBT, both off and on shore, including spare and consumable management.

  • Responsible for all aspects of the Cable Burial operations,

  • Responsible for the training of the CBT Operators and Shift Supervisors,

  • Key person in the optimization of the burial process,

  • Key person in the improvement program of the CBT.

Your profile
  • You are looking for a long-term staff job position;

  • you have at least 5 years of relevant working experience;

  • you have a background in hydraulics, mechanical engineering or in electrical engineering and/or electronics;

  • you have an eye for detail and order and enjoy being part of a larger team;

  • you are practical, theoretical and operational orientated;

  • you are stress resistant and can work well in demanding work environments;

  • you see the day-to-day flexibility needs as a challenge;

  • you are ready to work on rotation.
