OverviewThe client is seeking a marketing-focused technical writer with experience in industrial systems (specifically compressed air). The ideal candidate can translate technical inputs, SEO briefs, and partially developed internal materials into polished, education- and conversion-oriented content.
This writer should be comfortable working from briefs and collaborating asynchronously while bringing strategic insight, originality, and subject-matter expertise to the content.
Scope- Commitment: 25 hours/month
- Duration: Ongoing engagement (6 months to start)
- Location: Remote (if located in Chicago/Green Bay, occasional in-office opportunities)
- Translate SEO recommendations, technical documentation, and internal notes into cohesive, high-quality content
- Write and optimize:
- Blog articles (educational and SEO-focused)
- Landing pages (conversion-focused)
- Case studies
- Conduct interviews with internal SMEs as needed
- Apply SEO and AEO best practices across all content
- Align messaging with different stages of the marketing funnel
- Proactively suggest content improvements and opportunities
- Meet deadlines with minimal oversight
- Proven experience in B2B marketing or technical writing, with strong preference for experience in:
- Industrial air compressors
- Compressed air systems
- Related industrial equipment (pumps, vacuums, fluid systems)
- Ability to balance technical accuracy with marketing effectiveness
- Familiarity with SEO-driven content strategies
- Strong research and interviewing skills
- Highly autonomous with strong communication skills
- Ability to add value beyond basic execution (insight, structure, clarity)
