About This Role

We are looking for a Operations Manager to serve as the operational heartbeat of our team. This is a "player-coach" style role where you will balance high-level process architecture with hands-on execution. You will be responsible for taking our existing workflows and moving them into a high-functioning Jira environment, ensuring team accountability, and identifying opportunities to automate manual tasks. We need a seasoned professional who is equally comfortable troubleshooting a daily technical validation as they are providing a strategic status update to a client.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect the Workflow: Immediately take the lead on establishing our project management ecosystem in Jira. You will define the processes, create the timelines, and ensure the system is built for long-term scalability.

  • Drive Team Accountability: Act as the "Orchestrator" for the team. You’ll ensure that delegated tasks are moving forward, deadlines are respected, and blockers are removed before they impact delivery.

  • Optimize and Automate: Run our daily operations with an eye for improvement. You will identify repetitive manual processes and implement automation solutions to increase our team’s velocity.

  • Own Daily Execution: Manage the essential "non-automatable" tasks. From troubleshooting to validation, you’ll ensure that the daily engine of the business is running smoothly and reliably.

  • Be the Client Voice: Serve as a trusted point of contact for our clients. You will translate complex internal progress into clear, professional weekly status updates and interface directly with partners to ensure their needs are met.

  • Bridge the Technical Gap: Use your technical fluency to navigate the nuances of our stack—knowing when an issue lies within an API, an SFTP transfer, or a process logic error.

Who You Are

  • An Operational Veteran: You are a "seasoned pro" who has been in the trenches. You have 5+ years of experience in technical project management or operations and can handle high-stakes tasks with composure.

  • A Jira Power User: You don't just use Jira; you know how to build it. You have a proven track record of setting up project management systems from scratch that teams actually want to use.

  • Meticulous Metrics Master: You don’t settle for “out of the box” reporting - you’re the type that knows the “right data” at the right time can drive incredible insights and uncover opportunities.

  • Relentlessly Organized: Your follow-up skills are legendary. You take pride in "closing the loop" and ensuring that no detail—no matter how small—slips through the cracks.

  • Technically Curious: While you don't need to be a developer, you speak the language. You understand technical concepts like APIs and data transfer protocols, allowing you to troubleshoot effectively.

  • A Practical Problem-Solver: You are willing to "get your hands dirty." You understand that while automation is the goal, the daily work must be done with excellence today.

  • An Elite Communicator: You can take a room full of technical jargon and distill it into a concise, professional update that gives clients (and leadership) total confidence.
