Lead the product roadmap for Tappz's AI mobile and web apps. Prioritize features from research and data, write technical specs, manage Linear backlog, run engineering ceremonies, ensure smooth product-to-engineering handoffs, set success metrics, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
Tappz is building the next generation of AI-powered apps. We move fast, ship quickly, and care deeply about building exceptional products.
We're looking for a Technical Product Manager who bridges strategy and execution — someone who can own the product roadmap AND keep our engineering processes sharp, structured, and moving. This role is for people who thrive at the intersection of product thinking and technical depth, and who aren't afraid to get into the details.
Tasks
Own and drive the product roadmap for Tappz's AI product (mobile & web)
Define and prioritize features based on user research, data, and business goals
Translate complex AI capabilities into clear, intuitive user-facing features
Drive product discovery, ideation, and validation with real users
Own Linear end-to-end — maintain backlog hygiene, set up workflows, and keep the board reflecting reality at all times
Write detailed technical specs and acceptance criteria before features enter development
Run sprint planning, cycle reviews, and retrospectives with the engineering team
Manage the product-to-engineering handoff process to ensure nothing falls through the cracks
Set clear goals and success metrics for every feature and release
Communicate product vision, roadmap progress, and engineering status to stakeholders and leadership
Requirements
5+ years of product management experience in a tech or AI-driven company
Proven track record of shipping mobile and/or web products at scale
Experience owning and maintaining a project management tool (Linear, Jira, or similar) — not just using it, but structuring and keeping it clean
Strong ability to write detailed technical specs and acceptance criteria
Comfortable running engineering ceremonies: sprint planning, cycle reviews, retrospectives
Experience with AI/LLM-powered products is a strong plus
Technical background or ability to read and understand code at a high level
Data-driven mindset with hands-on analytics experience
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Mindset we value:
High ownership — you treat the product and the process as your own
Proactive and structured — you bring clarity to chaos
Comfortable in a fast-moving startup where things change quickly
You go the extra mile without being asked
Benefits
High ownership in a fast-growing AI startup, competitive salary, and the chance to have real product impact.
If you want to own both the product strategy and the execution process — and you get satisfaction from a clean, structured roadmap as much as from a great feature launch — we'd love to hear from you.
