Assertive Yield is a fast-growing optimization platform empowering publishers and SSPs to drive more revenue through intelligent auction dynamics, traffic shaping, analytics, and real-time decisioning.

What You’ll Do

As Technical Product Manager for our core yield platform, you will own the end-to-end product logic that drives publisher profitability—from server-side auction dynamics to real-time yield analytics. In this role, you will:

  • Drive Technical Execution: Partner directly with machine learning, backend engineering, and CS teams to turn complex issues into simple features, giving global publishers intelligent, automated control over every ad impression.
  • Scope precise technical requirements, create clear system specifications, and transform real-world publisher monetization pain points into scalable product capabilities.
  • Innovate & Lead: Deeply understand the AdTech industry, perform continuous market and competitive research, and proactively bring forward new product ideas that keep our platform at the forefront.

Reporting & Stakeholder Relations

  • Direct Report: Reports directly to the VP of Product.
  • Collaborate daily with Engineering/R&D, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, and Account Management to align technical capabilities with product strategy and client delivery.
  • When needed, join calls with clients

Minimum Requirements

  • AdTech Experience: 3+ years as a Technical PM, Product Manager, or Solutions Engineer in AdTech (SSP, Header Bidding, Ad Exchange, or Publisher Monetization Platform).
  • Deep understanding of the OpenRTB protocol, Prebid (JS & Server), Google Ad Manager, header bidding wrappers, and bidder/seller auction mechanics.
  • Full-Stack Technical Understanding: Comprehensive architectural understanding of web applications from client-side tags to backend auctions. Ability to read, inspect, and debug full-stack integration workflows (e.g., verifying browser network requests, inspecting ad tag execution, and tracing server-side responses). Writing production code is a nice-to-have, but the ability to audit and troubleshoot full-stack integrations is required
  • Ability to communicate technical decisions to non-technical teams and interface directly with enterprise client technical leads.
  • Location: Europe
  • Working Hours: Flexibility to cover European working hours (EU) with partial overlap for US West Coast schedules.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel to 1–2 key industry events or conferences per year.

Nice to Have

  • AdTech Background: Prior experience as a Software Engineer or Solutions Engineer, or Data Engineer in AdTech prior to transitioning into Product Management.

What we offer

  • Innovative and dynamic environment
  • Opportunities to grow
  • Continue learning and become a high-level professional.
  • Fully remote, full-time, and flexible working hours
  • A fun, smart, and diverse team
  • Competitive compensation package

What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
