Job DescriptionKIOXIA America Inc. is looking for a Technical Product Marketing Intern to characterize the performance of multi-stream sequential writes on conventional SSDs so that the performance impacts can be understood and then applied to KIOXIA NL-SSDs (and NL-FLASH) architecture and tuning for the expected workload.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding about current QLC line-ups, select target sample / model
- Set up test environments, including hardware configuration and software tools/script.
- Develop or test scripts that simulate multi‑stream sequential write workloads.
- Execute performance tests across a variety configurations.
- Collect, measure, and summarize performance data with accuracy and consistency.
- Analyze and document results, highlighting performance trends and bottlenecks and relationship with number of streams.
- Explain the impact of multi‑stream workloads on SSD performance.
- Propose optimization ideas to reduce performance degradation in NL‑SSD architectures.
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in computer science, EE or a related majors.
- Experience in script languages such as Python, PowerShell and etc.
- Familiarity with Linux or windows environments.
- Basic understanding about SSD, NAND and FTL
- Ability to analyze test results, identify root causes and propose practical solutions.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn new technologies

The expected salary for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hour.
