The Position:

FastSpring is seeking a Technical Product Marketing Manager to join our Product Marketing Team. At FastSpring, flexibility is at the center of everything we build, and we’re looking for a technical storyteller to help show that FastSpring’s platform and services can support even the most unique of edge cases.

We power payments for digital product companies across the globe including: Software companies, Game Publishers, and Mobile App developers. In this role, you will be responsible for tailoring our technical narrative to resonate with the specific needs of personas within these verticals.

In this unique hybrid role for a marketer who loves code, or a developer who loves marketing you will split your focus between two critical areas:

  1. Core Product Marketing: Acting as the strategic bridge between Product, Sales, and Marketing for your assigned projects.
  2. Developer Relations: Executing on our developer relations program, creating technical content, and building examples of how to apply FastSpring to various use cases.

We are looking for someone who is just as comfortable writing a high-level value proposition slide as they are connecting FastSpring APIs with a backend system.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Product Marketing:

  • Coordinate product launch messaging and releases, ensuring all GTM teams (Sales, Success, Support) are enabled with the right messaging and materials.
  • Translate technical capabilities from product (via PRDs or other documentation) into clear, benefit-driven narratives that resonate with SaaS, Gaming, and Mobile App audiences.
  • Create pitch decks, one pagers, and battlecards that help GTM teams navigate technical discussions with confidence.
  • Comfortable presenting and conducting training in large forums, including in all-company meetings.
  • Track competitor development updates and developer trends to ensure FastSpring remains competitive in its market position.

Developer Relations:

  • Using your coding skills (HTML/CSS/JS) to build POC examples of how FastSpring’s systems can support unique use cases (e.g., a gaming web store or SaaS checkout flow).
  • Execute on strategy for FastSpring’s Developer Relations program, ensuring a consistent stream of content and resources that empower the FastSpring developer community.
  • Write technical documentation and developer-centric content including API tutorials, integration guides, and technical blog posts

Required Experience:

  • 3-5+ years of Product Marketing at B2B SaaS companies or related marketing experience.
  • Strong background in B2B SaaS, specifically in launching products and enabling GTM teams.
  • Previous experience in developer relations, or previous professional experience as a developer.
  • Ability to read and write code for demonstration purposes. Proficiency in Front-end web development (HTML, CSS, JS) is required.
  • Comfortable working with RESTful APIs, webhooks, backend concepts (Node.js, Python, or PHP knowledge is a strong plus).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with development frameworks or engines like React, React Native, Unity, or Unreal.
  • Experience using project management tools like Asana.
  • Experience working with eCommerce, Merchant of Record, or other payment service providers.
  • Familiarity with tools like GitHub, Postman, or similar developer ecosystem tools.
  • Marketing training or product marketing certification a plus.
