1. JOB PURPOSE – WHAT WILL YOU DO:

The Technical Product Owner will play a pivotal role in defining, prioritizing, and delivering cutting-edge technical solutions for the company’s platform and services. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, business acumen, and strong leadership to drive product strategy and execution. The Technical Product Owner will work closely with engineering teams, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure the successful development and launch of products that meet business and customer needs.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Define and maintain a clear product vision, roadmap, and backlog for technical products.

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and business teams to define product requirements.

  • Own and refine user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team.

  • Act as the key point of contact between business stakeholders and engineering teams.

  • Drive the agile development process, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release management.

  • Ensure the successful execution of product releases, balancing speed, quality, and scalability.

  • Continuously analyze market trends, customer feedback, and data insights to inform product decisions.

  • Prioritize feature development based on business impact, customer value, and technical feasibility.

  • Conduct regular product demonstrations, status updates, and stakeholder briefings.

  • Ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer across teams.

3. SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED – WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Deep understanding of agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Kanban.

  • Ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage competing demands.

  • High level of ownership and accountability for product outcomes.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Passion for technology and innovation, with a keen eye for product usability.

4. JOB PREREQUISITES (EDUCATION, PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE ETC)

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, software development, or a related technical field.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.

  • Experience working with Agile software development teams.

  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and API-driven architectures.

  • Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and other similar product management tools.

  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
