Stratus, is the leading cloud-based platform for MEP contractors.  We’re on a mission to revolutionize the construction industry by providing innovative data driven solutions that seamlessly layer across a contractor’s entire workflow from design, to fabrication, to installation.

About the Role

The Technical Product Specialist on the Onboarding and Implementation team is a trusted advisor who pairs deep product and industry expertise with customer-facing business growth. You will lead specialized product training, conduct onsite trainings, and consult with clients on how to get the most from the platform.

This role brings deep electrical trade knowledge to every engagement — someone who can credibly talk the talk with contractors, field crews, and prefab shop teams, not just with the business stakeholders in the room.

You are also a voice of the customer inside the company. You gather product insights, market trends, and client pain points in the field and carry them to Product and Engineering to help shape the future roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

Training and Onsites

  • Lead specialized product training for client teams, tailored to role, workflow, and maturity.
  • Plan and lead onsite visits, from agenda and preparation through delivery and follow-up.
  • Provide product consultations that help clients configure and use the platform effectively.

Discovery and Workshops

  • Lead customer-facing discovery sessions, workflow assessments, and value demonstrations.
  • Design and run Proof of Value exercises that tie product capabilities to measurable client outcomes.

Client and Deal Advisory

  • Partner with Sales, Account Managers, and executives during pitches, demos, sales finals, and rebids.
  • Articulate product value and technical capabilities clearly to both business and technical audiences.

Product-to-Market Alignment

  • Help clients adopt best practices and align their internal processes with the platform and product suite.
  • Advise on configuration and workflow decisions that fit each client's operating model.

Internal Feedback Loop

  • Capture product insights, feature requests, and pain points from clients and pass them to Product in a structured, prioritized form.
  • Synthesize market trends and competitive intelligence to influence Product Management and Engineering roadmaps.

Adoption and Retention

  • Support post-implementation metrics, user engagement, and retention strategies that protect long-term customer ROI.
  • Flag adoption risk early and work with Customer Success on corrective plans.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in a client-facing product, implementation, solutions consulting, or technical training role.
  • Deep knowledge of the electrical trade required — including electrical design, prefab, and shop operations. Experience in MEP subcontracting or VDC/BIM coordination at an electrical or MEP contractor.
  • Familiarity with Revit and BIM/VDC.
  • Deep working knowledge of the product suite and the industry or domain it serves.
  • Proven ability to lead training sessions, workshops, and executive-level presentations.
  • Experience supporting sales cycles with demos, technical Q&A, or proof-of-value work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to translate technical detail into business value.
  • Ability to travel for onsite client engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background feeding structured customer insight into product management or engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with adoption analytics and customer success tools (for example ChurnZero or Amplitude).
  • Experience building training curricula or enablement content.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Core Competencies and Measures of Success

Core competencies: consultative advising, product and domain mastery, facilitation and instruction, stakeholder influence, synthesis of customer and market signals, and ownership of client outcomes.

Success looks like:

  • Clients reach go-live and key adoption milestones on schedule.
  • Training and onsites earn strong client satisfaction and drive measurable user engagement.
  • Sales partners win and retain deals with your support in pitches, finals, and rebids.
  • Product receives a steady flow of clear, prioritized client insights, and some reach the roadmap.
  • Accounts you support show healthy engagement and retention after implementation.

E-Verify Statement

Stratus participates in E-Verify. After you join the team, we'll verify your eligibility to work in the U.S. by submitting information from your Form I-9 to the Social Security Administration and, if needed, the Department of Homeland Security.
