Support PMO initiatives across cross-functional teams to scale autonomous driving development: implement AI-powered tools, build dashboards and BI, quantify impact of scaling initiatives, and execute targeted program-management efforts.
The Program Management Office (PMO) at Zoox supports some of the company's most complex, cross-functional decisions and programs. PMO is responsible for developing & executing the company's roadmap. When needed, members of the PMO will roll up their sleeves and work hand in hand with cross functional stakeholders across engineering, operations, safety, comms & marketing, legal, regulatory affairs, etc to solve issues that arise.

In this Role, You Will...
- Collaborate across diverse, cross-functional teams to gain a holistic, end-to-end understanding of the entire autonomous driving ecosystem and drive “0-to-1” initiatives focused on scaling various aspects of the development and deployment of our autonomous driving service.
- Implement AI-powered tools to enhance efficiency and automation
- Pioneer the framework for quantifying the impact of scaling initiatives, developing compelling business cases to champion investment in the most promising opportunities.
- Architect and deploy insightful dashboards to unlock key business intelligence and provide high-visibility status reporting on program progress.
- Take ownership of executing targeted initiatives, mastering essential program management and leadership skills.
Requirements
- Currently working towards a M.S., MBA, or advanced degree in a relevant engineering program
- Good academic standing
- Able to commit to a 12-week internship beginning in May or June of 2026.
- At least one previous industry internship, co-op, or project completed in a relevant area, or 1-2 semesters of coursework related to autonomous driving, robotics or adjacent domains
- Can commit to a 12-week internship
- Ability to relocate to the Bay Area, California for the duration of the internship
- Interns at Zoox may not use any proprietary information they are working on as part of their thesis, any published work with their university, or to be distributed to anyone outside of Zoox
Qualifications
- Experience implementing engineering processes, especially using tools available in the Atlassian suite such as Jira
- Experience building dashboards using Looker, Databricks or similar
- Excellent project & program management and organizational skills
- Ability to focus on the big picture and provide clear concise communication tailored to the audience
Bonus Qualifications
- Familiarity with AI-powered tools such as Cursor, Gemini, or Claude for automating processes, report generation etc
- Previous experience in technical program management or autonomous driving domain
Compensation
The monthly salary range for this position is $5,500 to $8,500. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level of education. Additional benefits may include medical insurance and a housing stipend (relocation assistance will be offered based on eligibility).
