Technical Program Manager III

itD is seeking a Technical Program Manager III to drive the execution of complex cross-functional data engineering programs supporting Company’s eDiscovery & Information Governance organization. This role will partner closely with attorneys, data engineers, data scientists, and operational stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions that support legal, regulatory, and investigative workflows. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in technical program management, cross-functional stakeholder coordination, and data engineering operations, along with a strong track record of driving execution, improving processes, and delivering high-impact technical initiatives in fast-paced environments.

Remote – United States (West Coast preferred). Candidates must be physically located in PST. Preference for candidates open to occasionally visiting the San Francisco office, though fully remote is acceptable.

Duration: 7 months

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Data Engineers, Attorneys, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable data pipelines supporting Company global legal and regulatory matters.
  • Lead program planning activities by defining project scope, timelines, goals, success metrics, and execution strategies.
  • Coordinate dependencies across multiple teams and ensure alignment on technical deliverables, priorities, and roadmaps.
  • Track project progress, manage risks, remove blockers, and drive timely delivery of critical initiatives.
  • Develop clear documentation, executive presentations, status reports, and communications for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, task management, and operational workflows across highly cross-functional data engineering programs.
  • Advocate for process improvements that increase operational efficiency, improve stakeholder alignment, and reduce delivery friction.
  • Support technical quality and scalable system design discussions while partnering closely with engineering teams.
  • Navigate high-pressure situations by balancing legal requirements, technical feasibility, and stakeholder expectations in a collaborative and solutions-oriented manner.

Internal Responsibilities

  • Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
  • Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
  • Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).
  • Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
  • Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
  • Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • 5–7 years of Technical Program Management experience supporting complex technical or data-focused initiatives.
  • Experience managing cross-functional, data engineering-heavy programs with multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Strong experience coordinating projects, tracking deliverables, managing dependencies, and facilitating sprint or task-based workflows.
  • Proven ability to develop executive-level communications, presentations, documentation, and stakeholder updates.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience managing stakeholder expectations and navigating complex cross-functional environments.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical partners in high-pressure situations.
  • Candidates must be physically located on the West Coast / PST time zone.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience working in eDiscovery, legal operations, compliance, privacy, cybersecurity, finance, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools or automation workflows to improve operational efficiency and program execution.
  • Background working across interdisciplinary teams, startups, or non-traditional environments.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data engineering or governance programs.
  • Prior experience working with legal, regulatory, or investigative data workflows.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience required.
