Summary:
As a technical program manager, you will work cross-functionally with engineering leaders across software, firmware, vehicle engineering, and product to drive supplier firmware integration strategy into tactical and detailed road maps that facilitate effective execution at each stage.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a Jira based register of FW deliverables per system with specific versions, capabilities, and delivery dates. Understand, plan, and track supplier firmware releases to meet the milestone release configurations and their respective feature and performance targets.
- Create and deliver technical presentations that explain program initiatives to teams impacted by supplier firmware integration.
- Confer with engineers and consumer teams to assess needs, process improvements, and best practices.
- You will communicate challenges and identify program risks while proactively coordinating mitigation plans.
- Analyze and report on problems with deployed software.
- Ensure every team impacted by supplier firmware understands what they need to deliver at all times.
- Establish standard reports to provide concise and effective communications to key stakeholders and leadership on the firmware integration plan status, issues/risks, and accomplishments.
- Set the agenda for key decisions to be made at each meeting to eliminate bottlenecks and reduce risks.
Qualifications:
- BS or MS degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent job experience
- 6+ years of experience in engineering and program management
- Deep familiarity with software, hardware, or automotive development processes
- Experience with Firmware development and validation process for
- Experience working with suppliers to integrate Firmware/Software for a tangible Hardware product
- Extensive experience with Jira for planning and tracking firmware releases
- Strong track record of managing complex cross-functional projects
- Strong references that highlight your ability to build strong working relationships with senior leaders and engineers across functions and departments
- An ability to keep the big picture in focus and to provide clear, well-structured, and concise communications tailored to each appropriate audience
- Bonus: Familiarity with AGILE and ASPICE development methodologies
