As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) at Charta, you’ll play a pivotal role in orchestrating the development and delivery of our AI-driven infrastructure, ensuring our technical roadmaps translate into seamless, high-performance healthcare solutions for our clients.
In an industry where the focus should rightly be on delivering quality care to patients, healthcare providers remain burdened by the complexities of non-clinical operations. Charta is changing that.
We're building the operating system for modern healthcare organizations. Our AI platform streamlines critical workflows across revenue cycle, clinical operations, and administrative functions, helping providers and payers operate more efficiently and deliver better patient care. Backed by Bain Capital Ventures, Charta is on a mission to make every healthcare dollar accountable and every chart accurate, reimagining healthcare infrastructure from the ground up.
We are looking for a high-impact TPM to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will serve as the "informed captain" for our most complex, high-stakes initiatives across our engineering team. You aren’t just here to track tasks or update spreadsheets; you are the strategic bridge that connects technical execution with product vision and customer-facing realities.
This is a foundational position at Charta. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and owning the operational frameworks that enable our engineering organization to scale with both velocity and precision. You will ensure that every stakeholder has the context they need to move fast, removing bottlenecks before they appear and providing the clarity required for decentralized, high-judgment decision-making.
- Operational Excellence: Help us revamp and maintain the "operating system" for our engineering team.
- Strategic Execution: Define and drive the execution framework for high-stakes technical roadmaps, ensuring teams have the context needed to make decentralized decisions without slowing down.
- Orchestration: Manage the technical roadmap from early-stage discovery to full-scale deployment, coordinating the launch of new AI capabilities across the platform.
- Communication & Context: Act as the source of truth for program health. Translate complex technical status into actionable updates that provide clarity for both leadership and individual contributors.
You’d be a great fit if you have:
- Professional Background: 4+ years of experience in technical program management or engineering operations, specifically within high-growth technology environments.
- Tech-Fluency: While you don't need a CS degree, you have deep experience working closely with software engineers. You are comfortable navigating technical environments and can speak the language of APIs and development workflows to ensure project alignment.
- Radical Candor: You are comfortable giving and receiving direct, honest feedback to senior leadership and engineering peers to keep projects on track.
- Judgment & Ownership: You thrive in ambiguous environments and can make high-quality decisions quickly, taking full accountability for outcomes.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence without authority and provide the "why" behind every "what."
What we offer:
- Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision.
- Equity & growth opportunities in a fast-growing, innovative tech startup.
- Ongoing professional development and access to cutting-edge AI and healthcare tools.
- Lively, in-person work culture at our SF Headquarters
- $120,000 - $160,000 USD depending on experience + Equity + Benefits
- Annual performance based bonus up to 30%
