Job Summary

Technical Project Manager supporting the expansion of B2C digital initiatives for a global media organization, focused on building and scaling digital advertising opportunities. Works closely with product and revenue teams to implement, test, monitor, and troubleshoot CMS-based digital integrations while ensuring ADA accessibility compliance and platform reliability. Brings strong experience in advertising technology, ad server environments, and performance optimization, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinate cross-functional teams, and deliver high-quality implementations in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities
  • Manage project scope, collaborating on the definition of goals, deliverables, tasks, milestones, and tracking change requests when required.

  • Lead project planning and progress tracking, working with the team on estimates and schedules to ensure timely delivery of project commitments.

  • Serve as team lead, assembling cross-functional teams with balanced skill sets, monitoring performance, maintaining team motivation, and managing conflicts to ensure high performance.

  • Develop and execute risk management plans, identifying potential risks and defining mitigation strategies.

  • Coordinate with business stakeholders, including clients, account managers, and internal teams, to ensure alignment with project objectives and context.

  • Document QA processes, implementation procedures, ad formats, and technical specifications to support internal knowledge sharing.

  • Support the rollout of new products and the implementation of technical integrations for new advertising vendors in collaboration with product and revenue teams.

  • Ensure compliance with privacy, data protection, consent, accessibility, and other regulatory requirements, communicating technical implications to revenue and development teams.

  • Monitor performance data in Google Ad Manager, SSPs, and other third-party systems, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.

Qualifications and Job Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a Technical Project Manager or similar role.

  • Experience working with CMS-based products and understanding the differences between CMS and non-CMS platforms. Familiarity with systems such as WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore, Sitefinity, Kentico, or similar is preferred.

  • Experience working with both Fixed Price / Fixed Timeline and Time & Materials delivery models.

  • Strong understanding of traditional and agile project management methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and hybrid delivery models.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively collaborate with teams and manage stakeholders and clients.

  • Ability to understand high-level requirements and translate them into clear documentation for developers, including acceptance criteria, use cases, and functional descriptions.

  • Strong collaboration skills when working with business, product, and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Ability to review and intervene in user stories created by the product team to ensure they meet the Definition of Ready.

  • Technical understanding of the systems and technologies being developed, enabling clear communication of technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to maintain and publish project reporting to track progress against team goals and objectives, including preparing presentations for executive leadership.

  • Experience identifying and reporting risks, as well as defining action plans and mitigation strategies.

  • Experience working with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Asana, Trello, Excel, Notion, and Confluence.

  • Understanding of data tracking tools such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, with basic knowledge of interpreting dashboards.

Nice to have
  • Familiarity with scaled agile frameworks for large teams and portfolios, such as SAFe or LeSS.

  • Basic understanding of project financial management, including budgeting, development costs, revenue tracking, and P&L considerations.

  • Exposure to financial data processing systems (e.g., donation platforms), identity management solutions, and high-traffic architectures.

  • Familiarity with infrastructure and security concepts, such as CDN, WAF, and DDoS protection.

  • Experience collaborating with or managing UX/UI designers and frontend design teams.
