About the role

We're looking for a technically-minded project and product leader to drive our payment integration initiatives and the development of our internal payment orchestration system. If you're passionate about payment technology, thrive in coordinating complex technical implementations, and enjoy bridging the gap between business requirements and technical execution – we want to talk to you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate integration and implementation projects for new payment service providers while facilitating the development of the Payment Orchestration System MVP.

  • Collaborate closely with the engineering and integration teams to synchronize their efforts, ensuring timely delivery of projects and features while maintaining high quality throughout the development process.

  • Adapt and implement an appropriate Agile framework (such as SCRUM or Kanban) tailored to our team dynamics, leading daily stand-ups, sprint/cycle planning, and other Agile ceremonies.

  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog to align with the strategic goals of the team and stakeholder expectations.

  • Oversee task management using platforms like JIRA (or our anticipated migration to Plane.so), ensuring accurate tracking of project progress.

  • Maintain and update project and product documentation as well as technical specifications, ensuring all necessary information is shared and easily accessible using Outline.

  • Collaborate with the Head of Payments and Billing, Solution Architect, and engineering teams to ensure successful delivery of projects.

  • Facilitate regular communication and progress reporting to stakeholders.

  • Enhance team collaboration and productivity by implementing best practices in Agile project management and product ownership.

  • Support testing and quality assurance processes related to billing and payment subsystems.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in project management and/or product ownership, preferably in a technical or software development context.

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience applying these practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport across technical and non-technical teams.

  • Experience managing technical projects, particularly in integration or SaaS environments.

  • Proficient with project management and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, Plane.so, Outline, Slack, etc.).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the fintech or digital payments sector.

  • Familiarity with payment gateways and service providers (e.g., Stripe, PayPal).

  • Understanding of payment orchestration and billing systems.

  • Background in software development or technical requirements gathering.

  • Experience with low-code platforms and understanding of REST APIs and webhook implementations.
