About Us:

Camber builds software to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare. We streamline and replace manual work so clinicians can focus on what they do best: providing great care. For more details on our thesis, check out our write-up: What is Camber?

We’ve raised $50M in funding from phenomenal supporters at a16z, Craft Ventures, YCombinator, Manresa, and many others who are committed to improving the accessibility of care. For more information, take a look at: Announcing Camber

About our Culture:

Our mission to change behavioral health starts with us and how we operate. We don’t want to just change behavioral health, we want to change the way startups operate. Here are a few tactical examples:

1) Improving accessibility and quality of healthcare is something we live and breathe. Everyone on Camber’s team cares deeply about helping clinicians and patients.

2) We have to have a sense of humor. Healthcare is so broken, it's depressing if you don't laugh with us.

About the Role

Camber is growing fast, and that means our Talent organization needs to scale thoughtfully, quickly, and with care. We just surpassed 100 mission-oriented builders who want to change healthcare, and need someone to own technical recruiting as our hiring across engineering and data accelerates. You will partner closely with leadership, hiring managers, and candidates to attract and close top technical talent across software engineering, infrastructure, security, product engineering, data, and AI/ML. We’d also love if you can jump into and own searches in operations, customer experience, and GTM, based on business needs.

You should be excited about recruiting as both a craft and a competitive advantage. We want someone who is highly technical, deeply curious about emerging tooling, and constantly experimenting with new ways to source, engage, and close candidates.

What You'll Do:
  • Own top-of-funnel initiatives: Help us scale sourcing efforts across technical roles. Think A/B testing and experimentation, writing and rewriting outreach content, and bringing a curious, learning mindset to all things top of funnel. This is the biggest needle mover for our success!

  • Partner on search strategy: Build talent maps, research markets, and develop creative outreach approaches. Thinking outside of the box is the baseline.

  • Lead with data: You know your funnel top to bottom, where the leaks are, and already have 5 ideas on how to fix it and iterate. You keep your ATS clean and can use data to help drive insights and make decisions.

  • Scale hiring throughput and efficiency: We want to double our engineering team in the next few months. That will involve better, new strategy and execution across the board. You should be excited about this challenge.

  • Level up candidate experience: Bring a willingness to provide a white glove candidate experience, and learn the ins and outs of candidate experience and recruiting operations through coordination, scheduling, and managing onsites. This is a truly full desk role.

  • Bring ideas to life and show ownership: Test new tools, workflows, and systems to make our recruiting engine more efficient and equitable. Make recommendations for how we get better. Own the outcome.

What We're Looking For:
  • 4+ years of full cycle technical recruiting experience in startup or high growth environments

  • Proven track record hiring strong engineering and data talent, and building trusting and strategic relationships with those leaders

  • Excellent sourcing skills across LinkedIn, outbound channels, communities, events, and emerging platforms

  • Strong closer who can build trust and excitement with candidates, navigating difficult conversations on compensation, equity, and buy-in

  • Speed with care — you have a penchant for moving quickly and executing, but with care and concern for impact

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, bringing a naturally relationship-oriented ethic to your work

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and energized by building from scratch — you see white space or lack of process as an opportunity

  • Familiarity with modern recruiting platforms and workflows including Ashby, Gem, Juicebox, and AI-enabled sourcing tools

Perks & Benefits at Camber:
  • Comprehensive Health Coverage: Medical, dental, and vision plans with nationwide coverage, including 24/7 virtual urgent care.

  • Mental Health Support: Weekly therapy reimbursement up to $100, so you can prioritize the care that works best for you.

  • Paid Parental Leave: Up to 12 weeks of fully paid time off for new parents (birth, adoption, or foster care).

  • Financial Wellness: 401K (traditional & Roth), HSA & FSA options, and monthly commuter benefits for NYC employees.

  • Time Off That Counts: We offer flexible PTO, meaning you’re trusted to take the time you need to recharge while balancing your responsibilities and team commitments.

  • Fitness Stipend: $100/month to use on fitness however you choose.

  • Hybrid Flexibility: In NYC? We work in the office 3–5x/week, with flexibility when life happens. Fridays are remote-friendly.

Camber is based in New York City, and we prioritize in-person and hybrid candidates. Please refer to the top of this page for this position's hiring location.

Building an inclusive culture is one of our core tenets as a company. We’re very aware of structural inequalities that exist, and recognize that underrepresented minorities are less likely to apply for a role if they don’t think they meet all of the requirements. If that’s you and you’re reading this, we’d like to encourage you to apply regardless — we’d love to get to know you and see if there’s a place for you here!

In addition, we take security seriously, and all of our employees contribute to uphold security requirements and maintain compliance with HIPAA security regulations.
