- Analyze BOMs, identify cost drivers, benchmark component pricing, and implement procurement strategies to enable timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.
- Collaborate across the organization to ensure business objectives are met, including synthesizing and communicating findings to senior leaders and surfacing potential supply issues that may impact product strategy.
- Optimize supply chain performance through effective sourcing strategies and continuous improvement of cost, service, and performance KPIs.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of value-added manufacturing processes, costs, and market intelligence, and apply this knowledge to influence future product roadmaps and sourcing decisions.
- Provide program management support and contribute to the development of processes, templates, escalation procedures, and reporting.
- Partner with internal manufacturing organizations to ensure alignment on supply, build plans, and readiness.
- Lead and support improvement initiatives across sourcing and supply chain operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering; other engineering degrees considered with demonstrated deep understanding of electronic components.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in technical sourcing, procurement, or supply chain in an electronics or hardware manufacturing environment, preferably with NPI exposure.
- Strong understanding of electronic components, BOM structures, PCBA/PCB manufacturing, component lifecycle, alternates, cost drivers, quality risks, and supplier technologies.
- Demonstrated tenacity, passion, and skill in negotiations and supplier management.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; able to make sound decisions with incomplete information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and influence cross-functional relationships.
- Experience solving complex supply chain issues and driving actions to closure.
