Role Overview:

The Technical Supply Chain Manager will serve as the key bridge between Supply Chain, Product, Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams to optimize hardware lifecycle management, vehicle repair and quality, parts consumption and inventory efficiency. This role combines technical hardware expertise with supply chain operations, driving data-driven decisions to improve serviceability, reduce costs, and enhance vehicle reliability across the North American markets. This role will be based in our Santa Monica HQ office four days a week Monday-Thursday. 


Key Responsibilities:

SKU & Inventory Management

  • Lead SKU rationalization and simplification initiatives to improve our current process of parts ordering, inventory management, distribution and vehicle maintenance.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce obsolete, excess, and surplus inventory.
  • Develop and deliver structured SKU management training programs for market teams, covering parts ordering processes, inventory management, and vehicle repair practices.

Parts Consumption & Cost Optimization

  • Partner with Supply Chain, Product, and Operations teams to analyze parts consumption trends and identify opportunities to reduce SKU burn rates, overall hardware cost and labor cost.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve parts utilization, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Monitor hardware performance metrics and recommend corrective actions based on field data and consumption patterns.

Hardware Quality & Product Improvement

  • Provide hardware performance insights to guide product development, supplier selection, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze field failures, repair trends, and warranty data to identify root causes and recommend design or supplier improvements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations and Quality teams to improve product reliability and serviceability.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between U.S. operations and Asia-based Quality teams for vehicle quality issues, field feedback, and corrective action implementation.
  • Work closely with Operations and Supply Chain teams to improve reverse logistics efficiency and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in hardware engineering, hardware repair, after-sales service, product quality, supply chain engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate operational data into actionable improvements.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Quality teams.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with international teams.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including frequent domestic travel and occasional international travel, as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with micromobility, automotive, consumer electronics, or electromechanical products.
  • Knowledge of inventory optimization, supply planning, and reverse logistics processes.Familiarity with supplier quality management and failure analysis methodologies.
  • Experience using ERP, inventory management, or business intelligence tools for operational analysis.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 - $180,000 + Annual Performance Bonus + Full Range of Benefits. Veo is a total compensation company, and pay is determined by geographic cost of labor and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training - so not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Our total compensation package for this role, including bonus potential, ranges from $150,000 to $190,000 per year.
