The Community You Will Join:
The Homes Supply team plays a critical role in ensuring Airbnb secures a diverse and high-quality supply of stays listings. Efforts are aimed at meeting the expectations of guests by ensuring a wide offering of high-quality listings at compelling values are available for every search. Additionally, the Homes Supply team serves the needs of their global hosts by supporting more efficient planning and execution of growth strategies in a way that resonates with Airbnb’s communities.
The Difference You Will Make:
In this position you will lead a team of market managers and be responsible for the end-to-end strategy for supply acquisition, host quality, account management and optimization in the assigned markets. This role will cover the Northeast Atlantic territory (Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Maryland, Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, United States).
A Typical Day:
- Lead a team of Market Associates & Market Managers responsible for maximizing partner relationships with Airbnb Homes Hosts and achieving KPIs and business performance goals. Guide teams on territory and local strategies for supply optimization, acquisition and optimization. Know how to direct the different teams based on Host segmentation.
- Proactively set priorities, develop supply strategy plans for the full funnel of Stays supply and assign resources for areas managed.
- Partner with the Supply, Country Manager leadership and other teams within Airbnb to drive cross-functional business initiatives. Share strategic initiatives globally.
- Be accountable for the business performance of the assigned territory, including meeting revenue goals and supply acquisition targets, optimizing existing supply to meet the demands of the customer, and improving supply business KPIs.
- Identify key barriers/levers, market shifts and trends, and provide solutions to overcome them.
- Coach team members to achieve their maximum potential in their current role while developing them for future roles within the organization.
Your Expertise:
- 10+ years of relevant global operations experience with at least 4+ years in a management role managing teams
- A bold and compassionate leader with a proven ability to grow, develop and scale high performing teams
- Considered an expert in the Northeast Atlantic territory and in managing complex, highly-regulated markets
- Shares learnings and independently influences cross functional partners to support relevant goals
- Serves as a go-to for team members when they have questions and provide clear direction, business coaching, and ongoing training
- Can leverage data to propose new business opportunities for the larger team and a strategic portfolio across distinct and varying market stages. Ability to influence product, policy, and other cross functional stakeholders to attain new revenue streams for direct team or region
- Ability to leverage tools to understand how larger businesses and other individuals are performing
- Expertise in achieving strong results managing through others
- Ability to successfully and confidently performance manage team members
- Knows how to create a positive and driven team culture
- Ability to organize, lead and execute on a variety of assignments and action plans
- Previous relevant experience in growing supply and working with Community groups
