Duties & Responsibilities
We are seeking a Total Rewards Manager responsible for administering and supporting the firm’s global compensation and benefits programs to attract, retain and motivate top talent. This role partners closely with HR leadership and business leaders to ensure total rewards programs are competitive, cost-effective and executed with excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Benefits Program Management
- In collaboration with other HR team members, design, administer and ensure compliance of U.S. health and benefits plans, retirement programs, wellness initiatives and leave of absence policies
- Lead annual benefits renewal, vendor RFPs and plan design changes in partnership with brokers and consultants to optimize cost, value and employee experience
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA)
- Drive communication and education efforts to enhance employee understanding and engagement with Lincoln’s benefits offerings
- Partner with global HR teams to maintain alignment and share best practices across regions
- Compensation Administration & Support
- Administer and support the firm’s compensation programs, including base salary structures, annual bonus plans and partner compensation programs
- Coordinate and manage the annual compensation and bonus cycle, ensuring accurate data, compliance with deferral schedules and timely delivery of employee compensation
- Conduct market benchmarking, pay equity analyses and job evaluations to inform compensation decisions and maintain competitive positioning for new roles and current employees
- Partner with Talent Business Partners and leaders to create and provide guidance on internal promotion letters, transfer letters and other employment-related documents
- Prepare and manage compensation-related employee documentation, including Total Rewards Statements and Compensation Acknowledgement Forms
- Partner with Finance on global compensation reporting, forecasting and budgeting
- Total Rewards Insights & Governance
- Monitor market trends and regulatory changes in compensation and benefits to keep programs current and competitive
- Develop reporting, dashboards and analytics to provide actionable insights on workforce cost, pay equity and rewards effectiveness
- Serve as subject-matter expert for HRIS reporting related to compensation and benefits
- Maintain strong governance and documentation for all total rewards programs, ensuring accuracy, compliance and operational excellence
Other duties as assigned based on business need (e.g., supporting projects, etc.).
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits or total rewards roles; professional services or financial services experience preferred
- Strong understanding of compensation administration, annual bonus cycles and benefits program operations
- Proven experience supporting complex year-end compensation planning with accuracy and discretion
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to model costs, interpret data and present insights clearly
- Experience preparing employee communications (offer, promotion, transfer letters) with accuracy and professionalism
- Experience with varying compensation mixes, including equity compensation, strongly preferred
- Strong communication and influencing skills; able to partner effectively with HR and business leaders
- Experience with HRIS platforms (Workday strongly preferred), compensation and equity management tools, and advanced Excel skills

The salary range for this role is $110,000-$140,000 on an annual basis. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Chicago. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
