Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and decisive Tower Controller to join our air traffic control operations team in Kraków, Poland. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing aircraft movements within the airport's controlled airspace, ensuring the safety and efficiency of all flight operations. As a Tower Controller, you will work in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment where precision, quick decision-making, and exceptional communication skills are essential. You will coordinate with pilots, ground personnel, and other air traffic control facilities to maintain safe separation between aircraft and optimize airport capacity.
- Direct and control aircraft movements on the ground and in the airport's controlled airspace using radar and visual observation
- Issue clearances, instructions, and advisories to pilots in a clear, concise, and timely manner
- Monitor and analyze real-time flight data to maintain safe separation standards between all aircraft
- Coordinate with other air traffic control facilities, ground services, and airport operations to ensure seamless traffic flow
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all aircraft movements and operational events
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations and deviations from standard procedures
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and post-shift debriefings with team members
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, regulations, and standard operating procedures
- Manage multiple aircraft simultaneously while maintaining situational awareness and operational efficiency
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure coordinated and safe airport operations
**Required Qualifications:**
- Valid Air Traffic Control (ATC) license or certification issued by the relevant aviation authority
- Minimum of 2 years of professional air traffic control experience
- Proficiency in English language (both written and spoken) at ICAO Level 4 or higher
- Current medical certification meeting aviation authority standards
- Comprehensive knowledge of air traffic control procedures, regulations, and safety protocols
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage high-stress situations effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience working in a tower control environment at a busy airport
- Familiarity with modern radar systems and air traffic control technology
- Knowledge of Polish airspace and local airport procedures
- Previous experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders in a complex operational environment
- Advanced stress management and decision-making capabilities
- Team leadership or mentoring experience
